She was in fact proven to have lied about her fear of flying, which was a characteristic sold to the media by her attorneys to drum up public sympathy ahead of the hearings.
She also lied about not knowing the SJC staff offered to meet with her in California so a public hearing could be avoided.
The goal was always to make it appear this poor woman was being dragged across the country to relive a traumatizing event in front of the entire world. Those 2 lies alone prove the whole thing was a sham.
