I don’t fully understand the increased duration of troop rotations in deployed environments, seemingly somewhat needlessly. All branches are extending rotations over there, while we have a minimal footprint involved in combat ops. I assume part of it is is the acclimatization to facing a foe with ballistic missile capes that can touch our troops anywhere, which is unprecedented in modern day combat and causing harsh realities for backend troops that wouldn’t have been exposed to “war” in the past apart from some inaccurate mortar strikes over the wall.

Driscoll screwed up army supply lines like nobody’s business. He basically moved completely away from the doctrine of pre-staging equipment now if the army were to deploy anywhere, the equipment‘s gotta be moved first no more supply ships waiting on deployments.
