not a Democrat, but i stopped being “proud” of the USA around 2005, when it became apparent to me that our government either a) didn’t give a shite about me or my family or 2) hated us and wanted us to die

The people of the United States are the most generous, innovative, and accepting in the entire world. The money and support we send to other countries after disasters. The innovations we have made in the treatment of diseases. The technology we have invented to advance mankind into the future... have ALL saved millions of lives around the globe and created tremendous prosperity for us. Do we get any credit? NO. Do we get any gratitude? Also NO. but they still make Americans the greatest civilization to ever exist on this planet and I am proud to be a part of it.
We need to stop importing people who hate us. Teach civics in every single grade through public schools. Insist upon assimilation of those who legally immigrate. And for frick's sake, stop it already with this grievance BS politics where everyone is playing fricking victim olympics. These would go a long way towards mending our self loathing.
Its strange that it tends to be the one that brings nothing to the table that complains about the food being served.

For some strange reason I’m looking forward to seeing protests during the week of July 4th. Just to shake my head and laugh while I enjoy a great time in DC.

The problem is that when you think of America, you clearly think of fat slobs. I think of freedom.
Yes, America has problems, but it's still the best country in the world. Too many people today forget that because they are so wrapped up in the negative.
Too many Americans are entitled and take the benefits this country offers for granted.

I'm neutral. Great land, most diverse scenery and incredible landscapes.
We have a few top notch humans too, but over all we are spoiled rotten, and export our dysfunction to the world.
I love the land, I am very unimpressed with the modern citizenry. We're destroying what made us great, its sad to watch

Republicans understand American Exceptionalism is more than just a cliche.
It is very real.
Democrats have been brainwashed into believing that only true Socialism can deliver everybody, and Obama started that turn. Sadly, there are a lot of Democrats who don't prescribe to the AOC / Berne wing but they whistle on past and act as if its not real.
The vast majority of America believes and knows America is indeed Great.
Until the moderate and independent Democrat stop being ride a longs, their party is going to become overridden by the Globalists who want America to become Europe.
It is very real.
