The Iron Dome is not perfect. Some of these missiles and drones are getting through. Israel does not look like the pictures you see of Gaza though. They still have a pretty high success rate in taking most of the missiles and drones out.

I watched a video 2 or 3 days ago from Qatar or Kuwait. It showed this missile coming in and the interceptor missiles going after it. 3 of those interceptor missiles had a crack at taking the thing down in plenty of time but all 3 whiffed and the missile ended up impacting. Yes some do get through but for the most part they take them down with a high success rate. The drones are harder to pick up even though they get most of them. The drones do not do the damage the missiles do though.

Was listening to a Darryl Cooper podcast and he mentioned the 3 THAAD systems being blown up and I think he said we only have one left. Apparently that is making the missile defense much spottier and we’re having to use 2x as many missiles as we’re supposed to to shoot down every one incoming from Iran. Darryl worked on the AEGIS systems on ships and he was not positive at all on our current situation, especially our ability to defend allied Middle Eastern countries not named Israel.

No.

And I have multiple sources.

Sources besides CNN are reporting the THAAD missle system targeting. The problem remains if the information was verified beyond CNN.

Seems to be satellite evidence to corroborate their story on the THAAD systems. Google says there's currently 8 (5 now) of these systems in the world. Losing that many here has to be a huge blow to our anti-ballistic missile capability. Then again, if Iran was able to take 3 of them out, they would have been completely useless against China, so, I guess the silver lining is learning they aren't going to protect our forces in a major conflict.

From what I understand, at least 1 Patriot system was knocked out as well.

I very much doubt the claims PoWs, as they would have blasted their faces all of the world and used them as hostages to cease hostilities.

I read where China has naval ships nearby in international waters watching everything and they gave Iran the intelligence needed to knock out the radars.

Yeah, I have a couple of friends that work on these systems for the DoD. They’re pretty remarkable.

I heard Rubio say we can produce about 6 interceptor missiles a month. They go for about 3 or 3.5 million bucks a pop. These systems better have a high success rate at that price lol.

I keep seeing people on twitter post videos of this ship claiming it is in the Gulf of Oman. It was a couple weeks ago, but as of today, it is sitting in a port in China.

I have zero doubt that China is feeding them locations of valuable military assets with their satellites though.

Iran has lost so many launchers that the volume of missiles they can shoot at once has dropped drastically. The drones are a bigger problem than the missiles are at this point. Shooting down drones with one of these expensive missiles is probably a choice of last resort anyway.

THAAD information should be confirmed or debunked within 72 hours.

FIRMS is only one source of information. But it does not confirm the Iranian claims of hits on Israel and US bases.

It appears that the majority of Iranian ballistic launches are at soft economic targets (airports, water supplies, fuel refinery/storage).

The cost of the missile is probably less than the cost of the damage by the drone.

The focus needs to be locating and shooting the archers.

Taking out a drone that can be made for about 25 to 40 thousand dollars with a missile that cost 2 or 3 million to make is not cost effective. Ukraine has developed some cheap ways to take down these drones and are being brought in to advise from what I understand.

It’s odd, there was wall to wall ground and aerial coverage in Iraq and Libya. We had some footage of Venezuela. But there’s been nothing so far. I don’t believe we’ve been told the truth.

Not odd at all. In those other examples, the journalists were embedded with the troops. We don't have troops on the ground here.

We do have journalists in Tel Aviv, and any damage is big news and they show the aftermath non-stop. Every hotel or building in the region that is hit makes the news. We get very little coverage of what is happening in Iraq, because the internet is shut off.

So who is lying? The government that allows their people open lines to communicate with the outside world, or the one that has gone dark?

Yes and no.

It is more cost effective than having the drone take out 3 soldiers. Or a munitions bunker. Or an air strip.

A cost analysis does not need to half arse the analysis.

Correct. But most of those are short range defenses.
Ultimately, I want the target killed.
But we are gambling if we are fighting off drones within 1 mile of target, too.

The goal is to disable the launchers.

Im hearing differing numbers on the number of Iranian launchers available. 3 days ago, it was about 100 left (Ryan McBeth). Another video today said it was down from 400+ to about 100 left (Cappy Army).
