He’s just a remorseless liar. The left is about results, and the truth does not matter.

They won’t even deny it.

I see this a lot when we all know damn well anything less than 60 in the Senate is a dead heat.

Any compromise bracketed by the values of Lindsey Graham on one end and Dick Durbin on the other does not capture the values of everyday americans.

Period.

Reid - Romney hasn't paid taxes

Dems - collusion

did the DEM leadership really think that a purely emotional argument (it's morally wrong to make us choose between DACA and CHIP) would work, especially considering their RECORDED AND MEMORIALIZED stances against the GOP-led shutdowns in the Obama era?

the DEMs are truly scraping at the bottom of the barrel trying to spin this

the "the GOP controls everything" meme only works for the LCD because the GOP doesn't have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate

the DEMs are also showing that they refuse to negotiate on major issues. they are the "party of government" and they're showing the very worst type of governance

I don't think Democrats realize how bad they screwed up for not supporting the popular tax reform bill.

Hell, they still don't realize how bad of a candidate Hillary was.

They don't really learn lessons.

The only way I think it actually hurts them is if people realize that life generally goes on as is without any noticeable impact when the government shuts down since they are the bigger government party, as opposed to the not quite as big, but still big, government GOP.

it would be glorious if trump came out in his SOTU address and highlighted how the shutdown clearly proves we dont need all that massive government bureaucracy, and that now he will start immediate plans with the stated goal of eliminating over 60-70% of everything that was shut down and had no affect on the american people

the regressive filth would lose their minds and have no one to blame but themselves

trump seems to have completely co-opted the dims strategy of never letting a good crisis go to waste and use it to advance your agenda, only trump does it so much better then they ever could because trump does things to make our country better for it.

Graham-Durbin compromise would have passed easily. Trump was for it before he was against it.

Was going down in the House. Yes, the Est-R's and Dem's would have passed it, but that would have put Republican backs against the wall. McCarthy and Cotton did the right thing convincing Trump to say no.

When the Graham-Durbin proposal was brought to Trump, he basically folded his arms. He din't even attempt a counter-proposal.

Trump had the Schumer-Shutdown nickname picked out 2 days before the deadline.

Trump wanted a shut down and he got it.
