Because they don't see themselves in the thousands of black inner city shootings, but they do see themselves in the relative handful of random shootings that occur in suburban schools or malls that end up killing white people.

I don’t ever take a position on guns when these school shootings occur. I always focus on the perp.
I always prefer that the perp is caught so we can learn more about him. If the death penalty follows so be we. We don’t have a good understanding of mass shooters.
I strongly object to the belief that all shooters are mentally ill. Take that one step further. Are all murderes mentally ill?
The vast majority of those with a mental illness aren’t violent. Not all violent people are mentally ill.

Nobody is trying to take your guns, just a Lil common sense. Why does anyone need access to lethal weapons before 21? Minus stealing your parents guns laying on the counter.
