Letlow challenging Cassidy would open the door to Graves running for Letlow’s Congressional District.

“AP source” is the key statement . They are floating this from the democrats to fracture support behind one Republican as they know Cassidy is in serious trouble . John Fleming will the Rep candidate.

My reason for not voting Leflow has nothing to do with her being a woman. I know nothing about her but if Gov Landry is pushing her that tells me to stay away from her.

Personally, of the three names that have been thrown around (Fleming, Miguez, Letlow), I think Miguez is the one I prefer.
I just moved back to Louisiana about 3 years ago, so unfortunately these are just names to me. I want the best possible candidate to primary Cassidy, but I have no idea who that best candidate is.
What I do know is that 1) Cassidy has to be successfully primaried, and 2) the candidate has to be strong enough to beat the total POS known as JBE.
PS - Funny how the Republicans have a deep bench nationally, but Louisiana's bench seems wafer-thin.

He must want JBL to get elected.
Let low could not carry the south Louisiana vote needed to win.

Everyone needs to get behind Miguez and push it. Get family and friends on board. There will be lots of democrats that switch registration to republican to win Cassidy the primary because they know he can lose with everyone sitting at home to not vote for his dumb arse

So in the runoff, if it's her vs. JBE, you're voting JBE or staying home?

Louisiana actually has a pretty decent bench for conservatives/Republicans. The 2023 Governor's race featured Schroder, Hewitt and Nelson...all whom would be excellent to represent Louisiana in Washington, D.C. There's also other folks currently in the Legislature like Jacob Landry, Mark Wright, Brett Geymann, Alan Seabaugh, Heather Cloud, Bob Hensgens, Blake Miguez, Jeremy Stine and Kirk Talbot whom all, in my unprofessional opinion, would represent us well in D.C., IF that's even something they'd want to subject themselves and their families to.
We've got a bench. We just also need to be mindful of the overwhelming "Trump/Trump Jr. endorsed him/her, so they are THE MAGA candidate" bullshite that gave us Jeff Landry as Governor off the bat in the primary without even full, serious looks at other GOP candidates for that spot.

The only way Letlow loses that runoff is because she is a woman. And that would say quite a bit about Louisiana voters.
Have you every heard Letlow speak? She can't beat Cassidy.

I was talking about her possibly losing statewide to a Democrat who in his 2nd term as Governor tried to mask up and keep the state shut down during the COVID shite, tried to mandate vaccines, and vetoed legislation to keep boys out of girls sports in high school.
Julia Letlow SHOULD not be beatable in a statewide runoff between someone that. However, she might be.

We gotta keep JBE out of that senate seat

Anyone can beat Cassidy at this point. Trump has huge support in Louisiana. Just remind people of his impeachment vote. He is synonymous with Collins and Markowski.
Fleming is the best candidate and was an advisor to Trump in his first term. But Letlow might garner additional women voters.

I’m all in on Fleming.

Might be, but it's time to stop sending old frickers to D.C. Fleming will apparently be over 80 towards the end of his first term if we send him up there.

At least he won't be there forever

Fleming is a staunch conservative.

And that's great.
I just don't like career politicians staying in office forever

Fleming served 2 or 3 terms in Congress and then stepped aside to allow Mike Johnson to run. Given Letlow’s age, I would expect her to want to serve for 30+ years, like a southern fried Di-Fi.

And that's exactly what I don't want
