one of the few things I agree with AOC on. Something as big as statehood should be decided by a convention of states not congress or a state only vote.

Peurto Rico is much more reasonable to be a state than DC is

From what I hear the people in PR don’t even want it. They take our tax dollars already without having to do anything.

While that looks good, remember that a Constitutional Convention writes its own rules and can literally pass any law and change anything it wishes (read: you had best hope a lot of pro-2A types are there). Get enough RINOs in there and we could end up with a new Constitution based on Critical Race Theory.
In other words, be very careful what you wish for.

Somewhere along the line some adults have to step forward. A convention of states should be 100% about putting the federal government back in the box designed for it.
