i am serious on the first part of my conversation. I work with alot of younger africanp-americans, they are as clueless as most people in thier 20's but i don't find them more entitled then the young white kids i work with, and as far as the victim complex i havent ran into that yet.

The descendants of the people who built the statues that are now being torn down did what you are going to do. They abandoned the cities their fathers built for soulless sub-divisions. They fled because they couldn’t face an effort not even a tenth as difficult as the one faced by the men who rebuilt these cities out of reconstruction. Now they are sitting in their retirement condos watching Fox News getting mad at what people are doing to the things they themselves threw in the trash long ago.

Me and my dad have considered it.
I actually meet quite a few Louisiana/Mississippi natives here, it seems like many of them moved here after losing everything in Katrina.
I see more LSU gear than Mizzou on a daily basis.

Yes, I'm already implementing my exit strategy. At first, my wife was not on board but she has slowly seen the light.

Idaho and Oregon are almost as bad. Idaho has areas where winter is almost unbearable. And Idaho and Oregon both also have loads of white supremacists who are not good neighbors either. Seriously....I'd think long and hard about leaving the south. I have lived all over the country and in 9 different countries and while they all have redeeming qualities none compare to home. For all the warts and blemishes if your situation is tolerable in the south...ie you are making your nut without too much time spent working and too little time spent living I would think long and hard about leaving. I will promise you this...and I was told this and read it in southern literature before I left the south....you will never know what living in the south and being of the south, not just from the south, means until you have lived for an extended period of time outside the south. There is a reason all of our ancestors who made the great migration to the rust belt for work in the 40's and 50's came back home when they could....it is in our DNA and it can't be replicated anywhere else on earth. People from other parts of the US may move to the south but they will never be of or get the full meaning of being a southerner...it is a VERY special area with all of its faults and many charms....I left because opportunity existed elsewhere and it was the right thing to do but I only left in the physical sense...I am and always will see myself as a southerner and barring an early death I will return home someday....I have looked forward to that day almost from the minute I left.

Haralson County in the house. I live in Bremen which is next door to Carroll County. Everything BLG says is 100% accurate. I am in Carrollton frequently to shop and dine. I was actually at Shot Spot on Saturday buying some cool guns that I have wanted for a while. I have not seen anything different there since all of this began. Blacks and whites are interacting just like always. Just a bunch of smiling and saying hello to each other in passing. I hold the door open for a black man or woman and they do the same for me. Kindness always acknowledged with a “thanks man” or an “appreciate it man.”
I was at Georgia Arms this morning in Villa Rica(another town close to Carrollton and Bremen) and 3 black guys were buying ammo. We talked in the parking lot for a few minutes. They are sick of the bull crap and are just getting prepared in case the antifa types get bold enough to bring the chaos to the semi-rural outskirts. There are a lot of Black Country folk in West Georgia who probably voted Democrat their whole life who will not hesitate to shoot a marxist if they come to wreck their crap.
Strange times we are living in.

That's the problem right there. In my opinion too many people are mad at blacks, who honestly are justified in protesting the death of Floyd and this guy in Atlanta over the weekend.
The antifa crowd are using the protests as cover to further their agenda. They are ecstatic, I know, that so far people are concentrating their attention on black/white relations, and not in the direction we should be focusing. They are a real threat to this nation but anywhere there are angry and bitter young whites, this will be bad and get worse if it's allowed. I just don't think most conservative Southern states are going to allow it. I don't think Kemp will allow it.

Ah yes where Spanish is the primary language in half the state.

exactly right. Antifa and anarchists type have so far been very effective at dividing the good black and white people. We don't need to divide. We need to come together to fight the anarchists.

What small southern rural area do you live in that is so overwhelmed and over run to cause you to leave home?
But nope to your op. If it got so bad in this country to make me move I would move further south to the Caribbean sea.

Just move to Cookeville, TN. You don't have to leave the South. This is not a diverse city and it is very conservative. Demographics below:
The racial makeup of the city was 87.9% White, 3.4% African American, 0.6% Native American, 2.0% Asian, 0.21% Pacific Islander, 4.0% from other races, and 2.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.0% of the population.

Stay away from the front range in Colorado. Very liberal. Closer to the mountains the more liberal it gets.

Absolutely right. It’s not the black folks that I’m worried about. The vast majority outside of urban areas are really good people. But these anarchist white kids who think they have it all figured out and are as black as George Floyd are the ones that are a concern. They’re the ones who will stoke this.
I do disagree that the outrage over the shooting in Atlanta is justified, though. It’s a sad situation, but it could have been avoided if Brooks had simply complied. We now have a better idea of why he didn’t.
And while Kemp won’t allow it, there’s no guarantee he keeps his post. Abrams was a disaster and still very narrowly lost.

Rural Maine. Trump flags everywhere, hunting, fishing, cheap land and beautiful houses.
Portland is the lefty hive. There's one in every state.

Not for long. People from California and the northwest are moving in in large numbers. They will frick Idaho up also.

OP: If you have a black child, do NOT move that kid to the rural intermountain West. Small town Wyoming or Idaho or Utah are full of bigtime bigots much more so than in the South.
The very places you describe (conservative, white…) out West will be a very unpleasant experience for your child.

Hell no. I love the Deep South and it will be the last stand of “real” America imo. Great, resilient people with great music, awesome food. We have our problems but honestly I’d rather live here and deal with those problems than run away to some boring mid size town in Kansas with no good bars and the best restaurant is an Applebee’s

I can vouch for this my entire family lives in the Northwest and liberals there are absolute whack jobs. They have no idea what poverty even is up there. The mountains make up for it though.
