Guess putting fatties and trans in the swimsuit issue wasn’t a great idea after all. You hate to see it…

Prolly because they were trying to unionize. Saw something floating around on the X talking about that.

Regardless, print media is on its last legs and doing either thing (unionization or pissing off your core audience) is fricking suicidal.

Truly amazing how many organizations are seemingly committing corporate suicide. Could easily add to this list going forward.

A lot of the individuals doing this are locusts… go in, use up all the resources, move on.

Occasionally a business wises up and fires them before it is too late. Walmart canned some of these idiots who had made a bunch of changes that pissed off their core customer base some years back.

The news about the layoffs came about a month after Sports Illustrated CEO Ross Levinsohn, along with several company executives, were fired amid the backlash over the outlet's use of AI-generated content.

WTH is AI generated content exactly?

You think that's why they are having layoffs?

AI is gonna force this on many companies in the next 3-5 years roughly 50% of white collar jobs are already obsolete. then will be the release of Gen 1 humanoid behavioral models replacing many blue collar jobs. We have no idea jpw far Automation and robotics is currently. Amazon has 1.3 million workers. And 750k warehouse bots. The remaining humans will be outnumbered within 10 years.

That will happen if you miss your $3.5 million payment to the company that holds the rights to your magazine.

I have not used it. However, I saw how it worked on a conference call. You can type in a detailed sentence over the subject you are interested in, and then AI will produce what you want. A song, a poem, a news article?

It's like a *Biden Political Speech except his plagiarism of only 1 person at a time.

The AI allows for millions or billions of data to create what you asked for.

It takes all the creativity and human element out of poetry, essays, songwriting, etc. Let AI do it for you.

I wonder how many songwriters use it and for how long has it been available.

Funny, my wife was showing me a Victoria Secrets brochure she got in the mail today and she told me to look at 'the models'. All I saw was big, hefty mamas or mostly non-white women. Even the white girls they did show were quite homely. My wife, who is Mexican, said "What happened to all the pretty white girls that used to model?" Even sensible women notice the overreach of the woke movement. The fact that Budweiser still has not issued an apology over the Mulvaney fallout goes to show that these corporations will lose their arse and market share but still not turn away from the woke movement insanity! It's just mind boggling!
