Anyone else tired of being asked for tips everywhere you go?

Went to domino's pizza last week to pick up my order, when I went to pay, the pos machine had a tip feature. Wanting me to give them a tip. I'm like gfd, I was the one who made the effort to come down and pick my pizza up. Why should I tip?
Then at baskin robins.. i went in to get a couple scoops of ice cream, was asked to tip.
There's a circle fricking k around me that has a feature that asks for a tip. I go in, grab a 20oz pepsi, wait patiently for the cashier to get off her fricking phone and wait on me... and I'm asked to tip. Smh.
Even going through the McDonald's drive thru, when you go to pay, I'm asked if I'd like to tip. No I would not.
Delivery drivers and waiters, hell yeah I'll tip them. They make not even half of what other customer service jobs make. They are almost entirely dependent on tips.
The circle k one really pissed me off. The audacity to ask for a tip while providing such horrible customer service.

It's just going to ask you a few questions.

I just read an article on this - the ubiquity of tipping requests is causing a real push back from consumers. "Nudging" seems to work, which prompted them to ask for tips for everything imaginable, but there is a saturation point and people just want to say no to everything now.

I went to get a haircut once and they wanted my phone number, email, address, etc and I was like, "I just want a haircut". One time I got asked this stuff when I bought a pack of gum. That's when I officially got tired of all this stuff.

Given inflation, we're already paying tips that go towards the wealthy and money printers.

i expect it now everywhere i go, sadly.
most of the time, it's a teenage high school student working a part time job and i always give in because i've been there before

Because they are trying to figure out how to buy food and pay the rent.

I tip a couple of bucks on take out.
If I stand up to order or pay at your restaurant I don’t tip. If there is a mess your table when i leave I tip very well.
I tip valets. I tip bellhops. I tip bartenders. I tip prostitutes. I don’t tip my barber bc that fricker makes a $100 + an hour from what I can tell.
Basically anyone who goes above and beyond or significantly improves my experience.
Other than that frick em. If they want to chat about it I’m fine explaining it.
Edit: never actually been with a prostitute but I would tip them

Why is fast food counter service still a thing?
I feel like most people can enter an order and pay for it without help.

I tip 15% at Jimmy John’s on pick up sandwiches but my food is always perfect and the girls scream out thank you for the tip when I grab my bag.

Say you’ve never been on the OT board without saying it.

Ever eat a salad? Domino's, BR, McDonald's, and Circle K are your go to meals?

Make my own salads. Rather than order pre made salads where I've
to spend extra time giving directions on how I want it. It's best to just buy the ingredients ...then I can make several for a relatively cheap price. Which brings up another point.. even my food lion asks me to round up every time I go there, for a tip. That used to be for a charity, but has been replaced in favor of tips.

I agree, I really hate how they basically put you on front street while they smile at you after telling it’s going to ask a few questions…
Also, you eat like shite maybe that’s a good reason to stop going to those places ??

" It's not tipping I believe in, it's overtipping"

Once Trump resumes the Presidency and implements his “no taxes on tips,” I expect it to become worse.

Last time I bought some crawfish the girl at the checkout said “the machine is going to ask you a question” when i pulled out my credit card. It’s a shame that these people are essentially begging for money and then putting it on the POS system. Yeah, like it’s system one day decided to do that.

Not to long ago nobody tipped on take out.
Now everyone does it and you get scorned if you don't.
This is true of a lot of issues going on.

If there is no service, just put zero and move on with your life.
