What if their parents are dead and they don't have citizenship in the country their parents originated form

They are the minority among the illegals. Focus on purging the criminals and give these kids a chance.
I believe it's the right think to do.

Bad comparison. Speeding tickets are discretionary based. There is no discretion with people running across the border.

How exactly? If the law is the law, anyone traveling over the speed limit should be ticketed.

Even if you are in a country legally, For example being a diplomats child, you don't become a citzen of that country.
If you were a US diplomats kid who was taken to "Wherever" and lived there for 10+ years and never knew any other country. That country would send you home when your Visa ran out.
Why are illegals and children of illegals being treated differently in our country?

I support it in theory, but it is unconstitutional and was a complete overreach of executive power by Obama.
Use it as a negotiating chip in an immigration bill so we can actually change the law the right way for once. But we all know that is way too much to ask of Congress.

How are these kids hurting anything?
If you are a criminal out you go.
If you work, pay taxes, raise children in the US you should be allowed to stay. I'm for Amnesty for these type people. It's not going to affect any of your lives one fricking bit

These kids grew up here; the majority can only speak English and do not know any other country.

Yea. Like love, kindness, helping the poor, understanding.
No principles here.

Granting amnesty to tens of millions of people and screwing over millions of others isn't "love, kindness or helping the poor". It's called stupidity and incompetence. It's actually extremely inconsiderate to the citizens here and the LEGAL immigrants who came here the right way.

Build Wall first...then sort through them. And their Parents as well. Bad ones back over that Wall...good ones get Papers in order (fees?) and go to work like all honest and responsible Citizens do.

Because most Americans are ignorant, emotional sheep.
There isn't a single developed country in the world that allows the bullshite that libs and GOPes want for the illegals in this country.

Some of these DACA kids are graduating college right now. They have had plenty of time to file for citizenship. Yeah, I feel bad for little kids, but if they are high school age, they should be filling out paperwork to become a citizen.
I think you need to research the immigration laws more. There is no process/mechanism for these kids to apply for citizenship/green card right now. You will often hear the phrase "they should get in line". Problem is there is no line they are allowed to get in to.
I am not an American. I live here on a work visa (H1b). So in a sense, if these DACA kids are allowed to stay, they will be cutting in to the line that I am standing in right now, in front of me, and even then I am sympathetic to their cause.

They lied to us in the 1980's. What makes you think we won't be facing this again in 10-20 years. When will it be stopped? Either we have sovereign borders or we don't.

DACA only address those who were brought here underage prior to a certain date. So a minor brought here next month doesn't apply.....although I agree it creates a moral hazard encouraging someone to it in the future.

I think we should make them buy their citizenship if they aren't criminals.
Make them pay monthly payments like a mortgage.
Let's say 20K per person. If you become legal before u have kids then they are citizens. If you have children before you pay your fee, then you owe it for the kid too.

Taking a hardline approach against DACA is going to derail legitimate efforts on border control. I think billions spent on a wall is going to be an ineffective waste of money but I'd love to see progress made on implementing a real e-verification system, getting rid of anchor babies, and the like.
We absolutely need to secure our borders and have immigration reform, but attempting to send back hundreds of thousands of kids who have lived most of their life in the US becomes the push nothing will get done.
