So what is it you want? You just looking for people to agree with you, you going to move to another country where you respect the leader, or you just going to whine for the next four years?

It would take more than a month for ANYONE in the position of POTUS to be defined a true leader. Grant some time.

You need to use the past tense 'we didn't have a leader.' For the 8-year period preceding Jan. 20, 2017 that was certainly the case. Absolutely NOT the case since that date! You may just have forgotten the definition of a leader and what having a real leader feels like. That's ok, it will come back soon enough!

This is his definition of Leadership:1.
pacify or placate (someone) by acceding to their demands.
"amendments have been added to appease local pressure groups"
synonyms: conciliate, placate, pacify, mollify, propitiate, reconcile, win over
"an attempt to appease his critics"

Would you not agree that anytime that a free society's mainstream media was proven to have intervened in a political election, for the purpose of pushing a candidate that fits their ideology, is a very dangerous line to cross? Make no mistake, when the mainstream media has been proven to be an activist arm of a political party, to the point of interfering in a political election, that is a very serious and dangerous proposition for that society.

I voted for Nixon in the elementary school elections. I recall specifically something about his plan to create a national standard for dispatch of ambulances.

Hmmm, when Nixon was running for office ambulances looked like family station wagons. There was a movement to make them larger so more emergency equipment could be placed in them to save lives that would be lost on the trip to the hospital. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

Any person with an intelligence level above moron could admit that the media covers the Republican candidates and the Democrat candidates completely opposite. The media deflects and hides questionable activities from an Obama administration, and then go all out assault on a Trump administration before he even takes office.

This is not true. I'm told he has the lead in his skins game going into the final two holes of his round of 36 today in sunny Mar a Lago.

If someone mentions Trump and honeymoon in the same sentence I'm thinking it must be about one of his marriages cause we sure as hell ain't talking politics.

So at what point did you feel unsafe with Obama? I'm not talking about disagreeing with his policy, I'm talking about not knowing what the hell he was doing. I disagreed with Obama on lots of things and the way he handled lots of things, but not once did I feel he wasn't a competent leader.

When I realized he was a Muslim. It was about the 3rd year in. Giving Iran nukes sealed the deal.

Have you ever read The Federalist Papers? We don't want a "national leader." That's why we have separation of powers and checks and balances. Suggested reading: Michael Oakeshott on the concept of dux.

Nope. His handling of a true national crisis scares the frick out of me. Bluster and bravado only gets you so far.

I feel like we have a leader because he doesn't bow to political and media pressure all the time. He is taking action on the things he was voted in for and why I voted for him.

Admittedly I am not enamored with the way he handles himself 100%, but he is doing a lot of the things he said he would.

There has been little leadership in the Oval office since 2004. W's first 4 years or at the very least his first two I felt he led well.

Bottom line is I knew he would stumble and make some mistakes, but what brought me the most joy is the defeat of Hillary. That alone has made Donald a success and a huge win for America.

I firmly believe had she won she would have finished the destruction of America that Obama, Reid, and Pelosi started.

Well, when the media and particularly journalism are completely unethical, publishing reports full of falsehoods and intentionally trying to mislead the public on what is going on, they are an enemy of the people. I can't stand Trump in many ways but in this point he is correct.

quote:

And continuing to talk about electoral votes and other irrelevant shite is part of it

Umm, I'm a liberal and even i am sick of the left and medias bullshite whining about the popular vote acting as if Trump is an illegitimate president when he won based on a system put in place to protect states from being driven from the process of electing a leader. He is defending himself from bullshite so place blame where it is deserved, with the liberals like yourself, the media, and the establishment.

When the clown bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia. And when he chose to speak and act in ways that have compromised the safety of police officers. And when he didn't forcefully speak up when a young woman was killed in CA by a repeat illegal immigrant. Myriad examples of a miserably failed presidency that has significantly compromised America!

Thanks for your candid response. What I'm looking for is discourse, and you provided it instead of calling names.

Twitter is also part of what worries me and the way he gets a chip on his shoulder about so many insignificant things. The president should be above pettiness and trump bathes in it.

I don't disagree with some of the policy he's trying to change and enact, it's just the way he handles and expresses himself.
