My brother is dumb fricking raging liberal atheist.
Super educated but just a dumb brain washed shmuck.
Hates guns, believes whites are the problem and blacks and all other minorities are victims.
I love Him but it’s best we don’t live close to each other and better we don’t discuss politics.
Best thing that could happen to him is group of TPOS gang bangers break into his house steal everything he’s got and frick his gf and dog in the arse before they leave.

Yes, unfortunately.
We went to target last night for school supplies (teachers get 15% off), and I’d say 75% there had masks on. Saw one family with masks and shields and I literally couldn’t keep from laughing.
Went “downtown” for dinner and it was elbow to elbow people, no mask in site.
Absofricking crazy we can live in the same city and have such varying views of risk level.
Watching parent page for school system is sickening. So many parents are saying it’s worse now than ever and school should not be in person, masks mandatory, forced vaxx… it’s scary to me these people exist. I worry about zealots more than virus.

I have one sibling that morphed into a lib about 10 years ago. Live in Austin of all places. Sibling is not quite the hardcore Covidian but is into telling us about our country’s long and violent racist history along with current inequality today. Yee haw.

I dont have any hard core left wing family or relatives but we do have a few of the nut job Q anon trumpers amongst the relatives. Refuse to get vaccines and think the election was stolen, Biden is a commie and believe the whole spectrum of consipiracy theories

Sometimes....it’s rare, but sometimes....I envy you leftists. Life must be so much easier when you can accept everything at face value, and do and believe what is told to you. You can sit and watch a thirty minute broadcast and walk away feeling like you’ve been fully informed and know exactly what’s going on in the world. You can then go to Starbucks and talk with friends who saw the same broadcast and you regurgitate what was told to you and feel and warm and fuzzy inside, believing you know it all. No need for independent thought, research, or the use of common sense, or worries about the shite that one day will rain down upon this country.

I would imagine we all do if we have large families. I have a sister in California (we never talk politics). Have some cousins that are pretty far out there. Biggest disapointment is one of my sons who lives on twitter. Trump changed him forever, I'm afraid. We don't talk politics either. If he even starts his shite, it's cut off immediately.

My mother in law is going crazy over this. She asked a bank teller if she was vaccinated this week and the back teller told her it wasn’t her business.
Apparently she asks random people and this was the first time anyone pushed back. She was upset over it.
Other than a passive aggressive post on Facebook about our view, she hasn’t really said much to us.

If by that you mean not getting my news and info from Q annon web sites, facebook conspiracy BS, message boards like this one, radio shows like Rush Limbo, or Fox news, my brother in law, simple minded gullible trumpian neighbors, etc., then you would be correct.

Yes, a sister/husband and her children/grands and a couple of nieces. It seems it’s the wimmens for the most part. We agreed just to not talk about politics, Covid-19, variants, nor religion in any of our group texts and when we are together in person in a group.
