My MIL called tonight to rant about COVID, demanding that all unvaccinated be removed from society and forcibly vaccinated. I can only assume this is what she heard on the CNN evening news, because listening to her talk is the equivalent of watching and listening to a CNN monologue.
She wants nation wide mask mandates, mandatory vaccines, and a lockdown equal to that of Australia. Saying all of this before reminding my wife that the vaccines and masks don’t work for the deadly delta variant that’s killing everyone in our age range(25-35).
So what’s the fricking point of the vaccine then?
Make it make sense.

Yes. They are not the militant types so we'll casually talk politics sometimes. But it gets devolved once I can get them past the MSM talking points. That's when you know they're political beliefs aren't much more than what Rachel Maddow tells them

No, her and my FIL are retired millionaires. He was a judge and they owned several businesses.

One good thing about the beautiful orange man losing is the angry texts from lib family members have stopped. They have been awfully quiet with the current idiots in charge.

Don’t worry, though. He’s quarantined for four days and they’re going to eat all of their meals outside. Plus, he’s staying in a part of the house that has a separate A/C.

This is her, but with CNN. My FIL went from a hardcore Reaganite to full blown prog in under a year watching after retirement.
