1. Maids haven’t been going through hotels until you checkout since Covid. At least in all the hotels I’ve stayed at since

2. Bulls hit

The second mass shooting saved by maids in a week?

I call BS, it's another FBI staged event.

We all knew these were coming, expect even more, but next will be anti=government, right wing, so called peeps behind events.

What you have here is a few drug dealers and junkies with a lot of weapons and a press eager to tie it to domestic terrorism and gun violence.

What you have here is a blind sheep who thinks that finding 16 rifles, 1000 rounds of ammo, and body armor in a hotel room is an everyday occurance.

I think this is a cop or military reporting thing, since shotguns and light machine guns could fall into this category if the weapon can not be absolutely identified.

This just wreaks of horseshite. One you could almost believe... if you held you head just right, 2 inside of a week....statistically improbable.

If these rifles were legally owned, then what laws were broken? Just having guns and ammo is not a crime.

They MIGHT have foiled a terrorism plot, but it sounds like wishcasting to me.

If they did, good for them and I hope justice is served.

When did this become a thing? Why can't we just call them rifles?

It seems to have become vogue a few years ago, Im assuming its because half the population dont even know what is being celebrated on the 4th of July (Waters even asked one chick what was celebrated on Independence Day and she did not know), so probably 80% of Americans do not know what a rifle is, so you know that gun with the, with the long thingy.

1000 rounds. Likely two sealed tins with 500 rounds each of 223 destined for prairie dogs

They also found a large enough quantity of drugs to charge them with intent to distribute so maybe those laws?

This.

Every hotel has told me up front that maids are scarce and you can swap towels, but they won't be cleaning the room until we gone.

You're a fool. Police do find stashes of weapons every day when they raid the home of drug dealers.

Some people are incapable of differentiating a rifle from a shotgun I guess.

Better than calling it an Assault rifle.

You're probably correct, though I think adding ASSAULT as modifier to any gun is also a bit moronic since an assault with a handgun is no less an assault by one with an AR-15, or just about any object for that matter

e.g., the comedian's awful jokes resulted in a barrage of assault tomatoes (even though technically, those that hit the comedian would be battery tomatoes)

Anyone who knows guns...knows 1,000 rounds is not a huge amount of ammo for 16 long guns.

The language of the article is intentional. It says police feared a shooting, not that the suspects were actually planning a mass shooting.

Yes. This country has a major problem with people prematurely making assumptions that support their preconceived world view, and speaking as if said assumptions are fact.

No, they'll probably just give it to Mexican drug lords

I must have been mistaken I thought it was a hotel not someone's home.

So the most important factoid to you here is rounds per rifle. Good to know.
