Denver Post

DENVER – Police feared a “Las Vegas style shooting” during the All-Star Game in Denver after receiving a tip from a maid working at a hotel not far from Coors Field, who discovered more than a dozen weapons and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition inside one of the rooms Friday night.

What is this? The second mass shooting saved by maids in a week? Glad these murderers are worried about their room being clean

At least they aren’t killing innocents with their false flags.

Also, I wonder if they plan to sell that ammo.

Sources said police removed 16 long guns, body armor and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition from the room with a balcony overlooking the downtown area. The sources said they feared the number of weapons, ammo, vantage point and large crowds could have resulted in a Las Vegas style shooting.

When did this become a thing? Why can't we just call them rifles?

Better than calling it an Assault rifle.

I posted this in the OT thread. The language of the article is intentional. It says police feared a shooting, not that the suspects were actually planning a mass shooting. The 4 people arrested in this case have not been charged with any conspiracy or terrorism related offense. What you have here is a few drug dealers and junkies with a lot of weapons and a press eager to tie it to domestic terrorism and gun violence.

This is not illegal for non criminal citizens. I've traveled with my weapons before to shooting competitions. Maybe he was headed to a gun show to sell and trade some of his collection?

Yeah, it looks like the reporting is very carefully framed.

It wouldn't surprise me if these people are eventually released.

there were 2 stories on this. it is strange.

"Maid finds assault rifles in hotel"

The FBI was too busy looking for LEGO kits and raiding Trump's lawyers homes.

So how was this averted, or did the maid foil the FBI's plots?

Those prairie dogs be dangerous out West if they needed body armor.

Must be white prairie dogs.

Maybe the other shooters around you? I wear a vest at the public free ranges. You don't know what could happen.

Future concern.

All potential sniper rooms will have “ No maid service” signs on the door handles.

SWAT teams busting down doors only find couples in the act of wild sex acts.
