Texas Governor Issues Executive Order Declaring Mexican Drug Cartels As Terrorist Organizations

quote:

Governor Greg Abbott today issued an executive order designating Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations and instructing the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to take immediate action to keep Texans safe amid the growing national fentanyl crisis. At a roundtable discussion and press conference in Midland today, the Governor also sent a letter to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris requesting federal terrorist classifications for the Sinaloa Cartel and Jalisco New Generation Cartel, as well as other cartels producing and distributing deadly fentanyl.

We lit’rally have AR15 shootouts here. Glad at least someone is at least attempting to do something to counter the cartels.

I am impressed at the fighting spirit of Ukrainian soldiers against the Russian incursion.

It got me wondering. If the U.S. military conducted an incursion several miles into Mexico, how good would the Mexican military response be?

My guess is that it wouldn't be close to the fighting spirit that Ukraine has displayed.

Look, I don't want us involved over there, but you have to see that the Ukrainians have put a considerable amount of friction on Russian military forces.

Legalize the drugs and cartels crumble... of course it would just be mega corps selling us drugs at least they don't behead people in the streets.

Without our weapons and technology, they’d be dead or under a Russian flag.

I'm not disagreeing.

But let's say the U.S. invaded Mexico and Russia supplied Mexican troops with hi-tech weapons.

Does anyone believe that Mexican troops would be as effective as Ukrainian troops?

Yes.

And the $50B in US money and military tech doesn’t hurt either…

But if the Russians also sent "advisors" that weren't officially conducting operations, they would still be less effective in Mexico than Ukraine is with our help.

I'm convinced the whole reason for the border to be open is to move fentanyl. Same thing with letting all the criminals roam free to sell it.

There might be some grand plan to destabilize the USA, but if you follow the money, it leads to drugs.

Mexican military? Maybe not. The Cartels? They’ll fight like their and their families lives depend on it. Because it would.
