The Georgia State Convocation Center seats 7,500 people. If they moved everyone from the floor to the seats it still wouldn't be half full. This is pretty telling for a venue in the heart of urban Atlanta. Stacy Abrams could have filled that place!
Granted, she's not supposed to appear prior to 7 PM, but that looks nothing like a Trump event where it's packed HOURS before anything is scheduled to begin. It'll be interesting to compare and contrast to Saturday's event at the same venue. I may even skip my regular weekend fly fishing on the Chattahoochee to go to the Trump rally.

The excitement is fabricated. I heard Gollum James Carville saying she is going to get hammered on the issues. It’s because she has been wrong on everything as far as even being a moderate. She is backtracking on every position she has ever had.

Not running the senescent Biden is a big deal, which automatically gives the Democrats a chance given our divided polity. But the idea that anyone is really excited about Harris is a media-manufactured myth. Even the media know better than that, as they were all about questioning her place on the ticket just a year ago! It will be interesting to see if Harris can—with a huge media assist —do enough, and whether Trump can stay sharp and disciplined enough to capitalizw on his significant policy advantages—pretty much everything but abortion— against a weak opponent.

The excitement is fabricated. I stand by that. Atlanta is a great place for her because of liberal women. Filling one arena doesn’t mean there is nationwide excitement for her.
