* They were like, "Sleeping on the floor in a tiny room for days without a bed totally sucks and is cruel punishment!".



### **What The Government Cops Said**

* The cops were basically like, "We have the power and we can arrest whoever we want!".


* They complained that they ran out of regular jail beds because they were arresting way too many people, so they *had* to use the tiny holding rooms.


* They said they were just following orders from the President to crack down on people.



### **The Judge's Epic Smackdown**

* The judge looked at the cops and said their new rules were totally stupid and made zero sense.


* The judge said the cops didn't even bother to think about how bad it is to lock people up without beds or how scared people would be to go to court.


* Then, the judge totally canceled the government's new rules for the whole country.


* Now the cops aren't allowed to do those crazy courthouse arrests or keep people locked in the tiny rooms for days anymore.

Considering this judge, I am dubious this certification comports with Rule 23.

Regardless, Trump should ignore this and any ruling that doesn't come from SCOTUS (and only after full briefing and oral argument). The days of a district court judge having the same authority as POTUS needs to end.
