This is your assumption based on class warfare nonsense that you’re eating up.

I don't have a problem with low "earners" having an effective rate of 0%. But, baby's momma getting $12k in child tax credits while drawing EBT, welfare, Section 8, etc... chaps my arse.

I’m with you OP….screw all of the haters.
I have a wife, 2 kids and a dog with all the expenses those entail and yet I’m still expected to also pay into a system that turns around and not only wastes my money or gives it to other people…but apparently bundles it up and gives it to NGOs to pay a bunch of losers and activists that vehemently oppose and hate me and everything I stand for.
frick these people.

If taxes were based on points of sale then all the handymen, dope dealers, landscapers and so many others would be paying into and obviously lowering needs of totality of individuals currently. People bitching about the rich or poor would have their voices heard, rich would feel relieved in not having to juggle their investments or shelters and poor( the actual individuals that are poor through no faults of their own necessarily) could have relief similarity to programs currently but tapered and monitored. More money in and less money needlessly wasted because of a more integrated DOGE program with updated computers to help ferret out erroneous data, payments and most of all fraudulent transactions ( data errors for liberal thinking).

Here's the thing: a lot of that is not even going for any services. Just debt payment. Like 15%.
Of course, citizens and businesses are not footing the full bill for the services they are receiving, so the debt will continue to rise.

I have no problem with people who get a refund from what they paid in. But not a damn dollar more. EITC is bullshite.

You thinking the higher middle class or the lower upper class aren’t pissed even though they can live without worrying about a car loan or a mortgage payment for multiple homes with kids in expensive colleges ? At the height of my earning career and paying 100’s of thousands in taxes per year I bitched and moaned, hell I’m still pissed about having to pay then. I probably paid more in taxes over 45 years that 60-70% of people made total in their lives. Don’t tell this board that if someone is bitching about paying taxes or extra in settling up with taxes then they probably aren’t rich because that’s a crock of shitt

Tough for me to have sympathy for the 1 percent and their tax bill.

Put me in with the MAD AS HELL / FTF crowd.
Had it with this THEFT.
System is rigged against people who bust their asses from humble beginnings.

Yeah...because rich people don't give a crap about giving away their money to folks who do little to nothing.

fig Cubby
I don’t know what that guy paid in taxes.
But I’ll tell you this you liberal prick!
I’ve paid 6-figure taxes for years, get taxed on the personal and business side.
Came from the ground up, and it it weren’t for the tax system being so aggressive on small business and double taxing our personal lives. I should be ready to retire.
Then have some tough years & no refunds because you have business loss.
Or some years, on paper, you have a “profit per the codes”, but the only way you can pay the tax is to shut down and collect your accounts receivables & give it all to NGO/USAID fraud!
GFY you a-hole!
And I’ve started several companies that generated over $180M and still ain’t on top you prick!
The waste and fraud, YES, frick this GOV’t tax system

What is the number to be the top 1% now? After seeing how much this government got from me, I must be in that group.

We need a consumption tax blended with an income tax. it is not fair to hard working people who succeed,,,,,
IMO, the tax rate should NOT go up as your income does....and the capital gains MUST be eliminated!
