I have my ideas, but that's what negotiations are about. I know this, the longer it goes, the least favorable terms will be for Ukraine. The only chance of Ukraine "winning" is if the US and NATO get involved.... Then we're looking at nuclear war.

I think it’s more about strength and not cowering down to people trying to undermine you. Peace through strength. Not peace through weakness.

I agree with you on Ukraine winning though, and even said as much as soon as the war broke out. Russia was going to get just about what they want in this conflict, but I think it could have gone the other way had the West not been a bunch of retards for the 15 years prior. We were too passive. Now we’re here, and now you have to make some sort of stand.

For those of you who have Netflix go watch the series called Turning Point ....The Bomb and the Cold War. You'll get chills knowing how close the USA and the former Soviet Union came to a complete nuclear exchange, all by human error and equipment failures on both sides.

Started watching, but it's typical MSM bullshite. Not interested. Thx anyway.

It would be better to have talks with Russia and Putin and get some idea of what they want from Ukraine.

It is better than Biden just calling them names and making a fool out of himself.

So we were morally better back when we institutionally supported slavery/Jim Crow?

How about when we were doing things like giving Native Americans blankets intentionally infected with smallpox (it didn't work, and the small pox that ravaged the NA population came from the Spanish and Portugese, but not for our lack of trying)?

I understand what you're saying.

But American culture has always needed Christ about as badly as it does right now. It hasn't ever really been an unusually moral culture. In that respect I agree with Cubbies. I disagree with her in that I also don't think it's ever been unusually immoral either. It's about average.

That's a lie. Or at least it's a lie as you understand it.

Here's an excerpt from an article at the University of Michigan. You can read the entire article below.

"In this analysis of the genocide rhetoric employed over the years by Ward Churchill, an ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado, a "distressing" conclusion is reached: Churchill has habitually committed multiple counts of research misconduct—specifically, fabrication and falsification. While acknowledging the "politicization" of the topic and evidence of other outrages committed against Native American tribes in times past, this study examines the different versions of the "smallpox blankets" episode published by Churchill between 1994 and 2003. The "preponderance of evidence" standard of proof strongly indicates that Churchill fabricated events that never occurred—namely the U.S. Army's alleged distribution of smallpox infested blankets to the Mandan Indians in 1837. The analysis additionally reveals that Churchill falsified sources to support his fabricated version of events, and also concealed evidence in his cited sources that actually disconfirms, rather than substantiates, his allegations of genocide.

Read up on the seige of Fort Pitt in 1763. It'll help you to understand the origins of Ward Churchill's bullshite.

Holy fark. Still in the introduction, my jaw dropped. The level of "fck you" is something I didn't expect to see, especially from someone at UM. That was Troy Polamalu headhunting level stuff. Outstanding integrity by Mr. Brown. Took no prisoners.

No doubt there is plenty of Gaslight Media pro Ukraine/anti Russia propaganda but the accounts of how close the US and the Soviet Union nearly going full nuclear exchange is fricking scary as hell.

I'm obviously not in academia, but how in the hell does someone revise historical metrics and assertions, over, and over again, with no one catching that something smelled off?

I had a single 40 page deliverable I reviewed recently, and I did *not* have to edit three sentences in the entire thing for clarity and accuracy. Doubling causality figures, etc.? This occurred over 11 years! And this idiot is tenured?
