I've always wondered why Graham Hancock gets the goats of establishment science types so badly.

Part of what he has to say seems pretty self-evident to me.

Namely that during the last ice age (though technically we are still in it, this is an interglacial) that there was a lot of territory available that is now covered by water.

Being low lying in a lot of areas (examples being around Japan, which was connected to Asia, south of India, lots of the Indian ocean).

Warmer, had rivers, no reason why there shouldn't have been vegetation, and frankly a milder climate than Europe or most places north of the middle east had at the time...

People would have been all over that now submerged area. Not going to do any wiki walking right now, but that particular version of earth lasted like ten or fifteen thousand years.

It would be frankly surprising if an area that seems so amenable to agriculture and hence civilization, was just populated by endless groups of hunter gatherers, with the advent of agriculture just waiting for the sea levels to rise, so it could emerge in the Middle East, India, and China all roughly at the same time.

Throw in Gobekli Tepi, and if I were the guy quoted in the article, I'd shave my brain and teach it to walk backwards.

And guys like that almost always turn out to be wrong. Remember when they said Cro-Magnon and Neaderthals (and Denisovans though they didn't know about them then) never interbred?

Anyone in a bar would have laughed at those scientists. Only thing that would have stopped it, is if Cro-Magnon and these variant versions of humanity were totally infertile.

A NASA glaciologist has discovered a possible second impact crater buried under more than a mile of ice in northwest Greenland.

If the second crater, which has a width of over 22 miles, is ultimately confirmed as the result of a meteorite impact, it will be the 22nd largest impact crater found on Earth.

FWIW: I have refined my view of this in the grand setting of the Electric Universe cosmological model. Bollides would have been produced during the chaos of this event (likely from Mars)

A recently declassified document discussed the topic of lost ancient human civilizations, and cataclysms that occurred on earth thousands of years ago – causing them to vanish from the earth and without explanation. Thus answering the question of why there is so much mystery and unanswered questions involving our true ancient past. The creator of this document also states that the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, Easter Island, Tiahuanaco, and Baalbek are ancient Enigmas. The lost city of Atlantis is also mentioned in the declassified files.

The TV show America Unearthed hosted by Scott Wolter tried to link the California rock walls to the Chinese. So did they sail over here or walk. It's a TV show so it probably had an agenda.

NASA, FEMA, and other national and international agencies are once again gearing up for a hypothetical asteroid impact preparedness scenario. They hope to learn the best strategies for responding to a potential strike, starting from the moment a threatening asteroid is first detected by astronomers.

Next week marks the start of the International Academy of Astronautics Planetary Defense Conference. As part of this conference, NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office will team up with other partners to perform a “tabletop exercise” on how they’d handle the news of a (fictional) asteroid on a collision course with Earth.

Again, the following is fictional.

Genetics shows us that the human population was nearly extinct at a point in time and only consisted of a few thousand individuals.

I’m too lazy to see if the timeframe matches.

I would like to think that in our advanced stage we have kept necessary documents and information in safe places in the event of a worldwide disaster in order to rebuild. Information pertaining to medical care, electricity, technology, etc that is necessary for developed nations

This is classical global warming...er climate change science!

quote:

scientists haven't been able to find physical proof of comets from around that time.

The team from the University of Edinburgh in the UK say these carvings...... show further evidence that a comet triggered the Younger Dryas.

No Proof but more evidence

An image of a headless man on the stone is also thought to symbolise human disaster and extensive loss of life following the impact.

quote:

The Gobekli Tepe is thought to have been built around 9,000 BCE ...the symbols on the pillar date the event to around 2,000 years before that.

So they recorded the event 2,000 years after it happened? And these fools actually believe they can read that "language", or their guessing?

More guessing!

They probably helped hillary conjure up the Russian collusion conspiracy theory!

Larps tell you what to think. TPA simply provides information for people to research and come up with their own conclusions.

It is apparent that rational thought and reason are not basic abilities that you can comprehend being a Progressive.

You obviously only get told what to think from Lester Holt, Brian Williams, The View Yenta's, Cuomo, Lemon and DU among the others who have been WRONG for the last 2.5 years. Keep at it and keep your head in the sand.

We will enjoy your melting over the next few months. It's GONNA happen.

TPA provides alot of outside the box links, thoughts and variable interpretations of such. I have yet to see anything posted saying this is fact.

You provide a negative with no information to back yourself. Make a claim, at least provide some effort of information against.
