An AOC story

I have a friend who is a mutual friend of Mississippi's new District 3 Congressman, Michael Guest. His office is across the hall from AOC's.

Two stories from him:

1. He went over to introduce himself, and she was in a meeting. She left the meeting to meet him and was extremely cordial.

2. A young woman came up to introduce herself to him. He straightened his tie to prepare for a picture, as many had been requesting- and she actually wanted him to take a picture of her in front of AOC's door sign. He obliged. Nothing more humbling, I guess.

She is a rock star with the people. That's scary for 2024.

Like McCaskill said, she's the new shiny toy. That will wear off.

She is a rock star for the moonbats in heavy liberal areas.

She had no idea what was going on in the meeting, so she left to meet a weird fanboy. Riveting story.

Bennie Thompson is district 2. Your friends second cousins uncle is MS-3.

Get it together man.

She is very inexperienced but seems to have the wherewithal to show up to work and work hard. She is a starry-eyed idealist full of youthful optimism. She is building a HUGE brand and is already almost a house-hold name.

While I DETEST her politics and worldview and think she has a lot to learn about the world (and history), I acknowledge that she represents a 'new' politician who lots of young people connect easily with.

Those folks have a vote too. Simply dismissing her as stupid only drives her followers further left - that's the hubris of being young.

Hopefully reason wins out in the end.

Her lunacy hasn’t been the focus of republican attack ads yet. She is giving them more ammo in 1 month than they could ever need. They could focus just on the Green New Deal lunacy and be fine on content for the entire 2020 election

To meet another Congressman? I don't think that is out of the ordinary.

Didn’t she already take a week off for personal crazy relief time?

I disagree with almost everything she says but I do like the fact that she’s at least showing up and pissing off the establishment with radical (misguided and not very thought out) ideas.

And she’s hot.

I hate this kind of shite. Castro had some admirable qualities but he was no good and what she wants is morally wrong.

She won’t last. I predict she’ll write a book, cash in on the inevitable $20MM+ and then maybe finish two terms. She’s not built for politics.

Unemployment is low because people have 2 jobs, the world is going to end in 12 years, billionaires existing is immoral, abolish ICE, no planes by 2029, high speed railways across oceans, Medicare for all, people unwilling to work will be given a living wage, 70% tax rates no no no you guys don’t understand it’s a marginal tax rate omg this is what it’s like to be a woman in Congress

She’s not a rock star. She’s a fricking moron

gotta admit it though, as pro-life as I am she is the absolute poster child for the pro-abortion idea!
