They can’t vote or receive benefits now. With a few exceptions, if they are receiving benefits, it’s because their American born children qualify for those benefits.

First control the border.
Second deport all illegals that have committed crimes.
(This one is where you would find the true nature of the Dems. They would howl)
Third if you are here and want to become a US citizen you can never vote or receive benefits unless you leave for 6 months, pass the citizens test and raise your right hand.

self-deport

We should offer them some $$$ (approx the cost to deport) to leave on their own, and they would have the option to reapply from their own country in the future.
IF we are then required to round them up and deport them, they will never be allowed to reenter the country under any condition, certainly losing the option for citizenship.

Deport all of them. Create camps to organize it if you have to. Minors who have citizenship but no one else to take care of them can return when they’re 18.

You don't have to deport all of them. If they get no benefits and companies and individuals are punished extensively for employing them, they will self-deport in a majority of cases. Eliminate the incentives for staying and most of the problem solves itself.

I agree with all of that but I thought the OP was asking if they should stay or be deported. The only reason I say let them stay is because trying to deport them all or even a large percentage of them would use up too many resources and the federally government would screw it up. I fully support decreasing the incentives to stay and increasing the incentive to leave. Heck I would even be in favor of the federal government paying for the airfare for them to self deport.

No. That is dumb. One of the principles of this nation is no taxation without representation. What you are proposing creates a second class citizenry.

We shouldn't do amnesty, and we definitely shouldn't do one that by design creates an underclass.

No. Because then they have kids. Who get benefits and vote.
Birthright citizenship needs to be abolished and retroactively revoked.. Then let them apply to be a citizen, before a board that holds in their hand’s background checks prior to reinstatement, plain and simple

frick Amnesty by any means. Get in line and wait your turn.
All of the illegals need to be rounded up and put on rock in the middle of the Pacific. They live of a Lord of the Flies existence.

Close the goddamn border.

Any form of amnesty at any points exacerbates the problem. If they know that they're not getting citizenship under any circumstance by coming in illegally, that will slow the flow.

No. Amnesty encourages more illegal immigration. The only solution is to secure the border and start mass deportation.

No. We should give all Illegal Immigrants 90 days to self deport and those that do will be allowed to take their assets with them. Those that don't will have their assets seized and be deported. What we need to do is designate a shithole country and tell them (don't give them a choice) that we will be dumping all our Illegal Immigrants there until further notice. Somewhere like Sudan, Somalia, Niger, Chad, Liberia etc.

You have to end the archaic method of birthright citizenship. Only like 18 countries in the entire world still have it because it is such a terrible idea all others have banned it.

That's exactly what they'll propose NOW and then they'll give them voting rights later.
