It appears that trump was big on talk with very little backing it up.
Uh, this is not the Trump plan. Might want to read up a bit.

If Trump doesn't have a plan this is his plan now unless he presents an alternative. Remember the Obama White House didn't take the lead on the ACA it was developed and debated in Congress.

The Trump plan was having cake and eating it to. With cotton candy and unicorns and rainbows. In other words, a bunch of BS that sounds good.

Ironically you are right.
It is simply apparent you haven't a clue as to why.

So how long will this take to go through?

Someone explain to me what "tax credits" means please
Posted on 3/6/17 at 7:44 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
The 30% increase for people that don't have insurance for 2 months is absolute dog shite.

As in previous drafts of the bill, the credits are refundable, meaning that individuals will be eligible for them even if their total tax liability is lower than the amount of the credit. The federal government would pay people, even if their federal tax bill was zero. It's a subsidy, basically, rather like the one in Obamacare.

Sounds like the ACA

No. Mortgage interest is an itemized deduction. Student loan interest is a deduction to income. Day care costs are a credit.
Credits reduce your tax liability, so depending on the actual tax return, some may not even ever see this credit. Say you owe $4,000 on your return. WIth this plan, you'll owe just $1,000 instead.
It's a shite plan.

Agreed.
Scrap it all, repeal ACA, and start over.

Not releasing cost or coverage estimates gives the game away.
They know it's a shite plan.
They know it's a shite plan.

Another reason I'm upset with this plan is that it's ruining my contrarian schtick

Louisiana is the poorest state, has a deficit problem and needs federal money to survive.
Medicaid expansion gives Louisiana more money making our deficit problem not as bad.
300000 people are covered under the medicaid expansion. Thats 1/15 of the state
1/4 of the state is covered in total by medicaid
Yuo do realize in only a few years the state will be forced to come up with 10% of the total payments, right?
Yes which is why Bobby Jindal was right when he said no to the easy money up front in order to order the budget buster later.
quote:
Where will that money come from?
Nobody knows but Gov Edwards and the La dems will threaten LSU football until we find it.

Furthermore, when a state is as poor as LA, you don't create an even bigger welfare trap.
but that easy money doe

Trump doesn't have a plan, but this plan is dead in the water. 4 Republican Senators have already come out against it.
