Perhaps this will serve as a lesson for the Palestinian people then. It's never a good idea to elect a party into power whose stated goal in their party's charter is the annihilation of a sovereign nation. They knew who Hamas was, what they wanted, and what they believed and yet elected them into power anyway.
Who cares if it was only "just once"? Once was enough given Hamas's stated goals.
