But you might be a poor assessor of character and intelligence.

But I'm not.

You knew him in law school but have had limited contact other than dropping in on his tailgate parties. While you may have believed him to be intelligent in law school, as you know that does not always translate into intelligent practice of law when engaged in the professional practice of one's career.

While you may find him to be a man of character, and he may be just that, you have no foundation other than you knew him in law school. You have no idea whether he has lived up to that ideal the past 15 to 20 years when you were both out of law school.

But we do know he used to throw a baseball very well and he has some nice tailgate parties so I see why he should have been elected judge. Unfortunately, the voters preferred that old grizzled veteran with that "eephus " pitch.

Will he be the judge hearing the St. George case?

If he's smart, he'll steer clear of it and let Coady handle it. No use coming out of the blocks pissing off a substantial part of his constituency.

No, the ad-hoc judge that was previously assigned will hear it since the hearing is next week.

I was checking results all evening.

Jordan led by 11-75 votes most of the count and had a 36 vote lead with 2 precincts remaining.

..and lost by 2 after those remaining precincts were counted.

At least you admitted that you have no idea whether his opponent is a person of intelligence or character. Many would certainly attest for him.

My biggest concern is the age of Myers.

He’s 65 and can only be a Judge for one term.

This is what you stated:

Yes, it's absolutely clear what he stated. You seem to be hellbent on purposely trying to read it differently.

1. He doesn't live in the voting area.
2. He would have voted for him if he lived in the area.
3. He knows him through law school.
4. They are friends.
5. He gave an example of their interactions.

You, no one else... YOU, zeroed in on point 5 as if that was the only thing he posted. There's plenty of context you have continued to ignore just to try to make a weak point. It's almost as if you're just here to shill for Meyers.

Oh, wait...

Every article about him in the Advocate always starts out with former LSU baseball pitcher Jordan Faircloth. This is clearly designed to promote his candidacy. If teh Advocate is supporting hime thats all you need to know to vote for his opponent.

VOTE BRAD MYERS. HE HAS EXPERIENCE AND TEMPERAMENT AND WILL BE TOUGH ON CRIMINALS.

Thanks for coming to post, Brad.

Jesus, dude. Did you catch Faircloth balls deep in your wife or something? This is a very weird but very obvious melt from you.

There should be an automatic recount when the margin is that slim.

I don't think Louisiana law has an auto recruit provision. You have to request it, which Faircloth us doing.

9.1% turnout.

This election should be an object lesson that every vote matters.

The general election had about 10% turnout so it nearly matched it.

How many would be Faircloth voters were more worried about the Garth Brooks concert and forgot to vote?

I think it’s the 9% turnout that should make you want to puke
