District Judge -- 19th Judicial District Court, ES 3, Div. E

Early & Absentee Reporting - 1 of 1 parishes
Election Day Reporting - 140 of 140 precincts
6071 Jordan Faircloth (REP)50%
6073 Brad Myers (REP)50%
Total: 12144

9.1% turnout

Also, since old BR money was behind Myers, you can bet if he takes the bench for the St.G. case, you can kiss that goodbye.

Should be an automatic recount.

I didn't vote b/c I don't live there but I would have voted for Faircloth. Went to law school with him and we're friends. He would always let me hang out at his tailgate when I'd randomly show up years after the fact.

Isn't this a criminal-only division, or did EBR change that?

Because of Beau Higginbotham's suit, most of the judges are now handling a mixed docket (civil and criminal).

Gotcha. I thought I had heard that (regarding something else) but Jordan's ads were focused on criminal stuff so I wasn't sure.

I think some of the criminal judges have no desire to handle civil, so I think they're still letting them beg off if they want.

The billboard/TV lawyers weren't giving Myers money for him to have an exclusively criminal docket.

Is that your criteria for voting for someone. So the biggest tailgate host should be elected?

You mean going to law school with him and knowing his intelligence and character first hand?

Why wouldn't that be valid criteria to vote for someone?

Well, that's not exactly what you stated.

But, what do you know about the same traits of his opponent?

You went to law school with him. Nothing about his character or intelligence.

Learn to state what you mean.

At least you admitted that you have no idea whether his opponent is a person of intelligence or character. Many would certainly attest for him.

Don't know what they might say about his tailgate parties.

His fastball probably never exceeded 50 MPH, though. Certainly not judicial material, right?

Yes

I said we're friends.

You think I'm Latarian Milton?

I never said anything about his opponent and I honestly don't care about his opponent.

I didn't even know Jordan was an LSU athlete until 2L year I think.

But you might be a poor assessor of character and intelligence.

Well you must not read the Advocate because every time they covered the race they made sure to comment on his LSU baseball history in the first sentence of the article. Guess their writers were also hanging out at his tailgate parties.

Is Jordan Faircloth related to Jimmy Faircloth that worked for Bobby Jindal?
