It’s Charlie Kirk, lol. How much money do you think this guy has?

Guys, this isn’t the 50’s. We have drones. They are cheap. They are used in security constantly for this exact reason.

Surprising that any event on a college campus with that many people wouldn’t have campus police at an elevated position keeping an eye on things.

Stephen Crowder spends 1.5 million on security per year.
Charlie has 10x the reach as Crowder

Maybe a drone or two in the air
?
?

I'd think it's a lot more plausible to have him seated behind bullet proof glass as opposed to exponentially more security personnel.

I would think the primary risk was thought to be some deranged debater lunging for him or at worst pulling a close range weapon. That’s probably mostly what security hovered around for. I would not think that if they had any clue someone would snipe him they would have ignored it to save money.

I’m not a security expert by any means, but I can tell you if I had a security team you bet your arse I’d have every fricking roof crossed and dotted. Like how does this happen. EVERY ROOF gets security if it has a vantage point to the target up to a mile in every god damn direction.
Unless you’re worth hundreds of millions you couldn’t afford it. You’re talking a 3 ring security perimeter similar to the presidential detail. 99% of executive protection works from a close proximity security presence. Covering 10+ rooftops with spotters and snipers would cost 100K+ per event.

downvoted but it’s a legit question. He was concerned enough to be wearing body armour.
He did not have on body armor and none of you have a clue what it takes to effectively secure a large public open air venue against a lone suicidal attacker.
Even a very good thermal drone with a very good operator is not a sure thing against this attack. He didn't have to be up there long to pull off that shot.
And, why would a guy doing an open forum debate on a college campus spend that kind of money on a security detail?

For a talking event at a college? I’m surprised he had more than a single bodyguard. That is a very low risk environment.
Yes. I seem to recall Kirk and Jr talking vaguely about their security on his radio show. Said he wears a vest and has his own security team with him at events.
Seeing he was not wearing a vest indicates he felt safe at this campus. I mentioned in another thread about the lack of a drone being used and I imagine the security team is dealing with some severe guilt that such an easy and cheap tool was not in their arsenal.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that he did.

People thinking personal security is the Secret Service is wild on here.
The only group that is equipped to do that is probably paramilitary and that wouldn't be a good look for a debate at a college campus.
