The entire Obama Presidency set the precedent that the Left can do and say whatever they want to get their way. We've been sliding down that, away from decorum and deference for years.

I believe if it were to happen that it would cause an unfixable rift in the population. We're almost there anyway, all it needs is a big push.

I believe it would lead to long term turmoil and instability, and a total loss of trust

I agree completely with this, and I don't even believe it necessarily speaks to to the possibility of any actual physical violence.

It's really a completely terrible precedent and road to go down. What's even more frightening is how many people fail to see it.

Absolutely. It's like we're all on different planets or something.

There's no such thing as an impeachable offense. If the house and Senate have a majority that want him out, he will be out. It could be just as much subjective as objective.

Can you tell me of the times this has occurred?

It is easy to say "Grand Jury will indict a ham sandwich". But, has a ham sandwich ever been indicted?

I don't get bent out of shape over "possible". I am more pragmatic than that.

Show me the man and I'll find you the crime.

We are at the crucible.

I see that you've completely neglected to consider that, perhaps, Mueller has legitimate reasons for impanelling a GJ. Is this not even a possibility in your mind?

If the establishment went ahead with it, it will set a precedent...They can remove anyone that doesn't conform to their expectations with no regards to democracy.

They can come up with BS scheme/excuse and indict anyone.

I did not vote for Trump nor did I vote for anyone in the general election; but seeing what they're doing to him made it easier for me to support him.

Why not just wait and see what Mueller says? It's awful early to claim this is all a hoax.

If our government is able to remove Trump based off nothing but "he isn't one of us", then yes, that is a horrific precedent to set.

But the likelihood of that happening is next to nothing, so it's nothing anyone should be worried about.

Given the fact that nobody has even really articulated an actual particular crime at this point, yeah, pretty much.

Here's a fact that Trumpkins like to hide from daylight..

They put the Establishment in Washington. They elected the Swamp. Most of them did it passionately.

If this works, it will be the standard going forward. I'll bet it leads to a constitutional crisis not seen in this country in over a century.

Pretty sure the character limit prevents that.

At the outset of the investigation, Mueller was respected and impartial among the PT board. He has predictably now morphed into a partisan hack.

There is no outcome, on any Trumpian matter, that won't be subjected to the most painful post-hoc reasoning on this board. Mueller could have Trump on video, literally blowing Putin in exchange for DNC hacks, and somehow this would be further evidence of the establishment, running roughshod over our political system.

How about we wait and see what it presented to the GJ. Would that be reasonable?
