Politicians, yes. Not all state and fed gov employees are the decision makers.

State law enforcement is still working in Georgia. So, don’t pay them? Emergency Management - don’t pay them? Health departments???

The reason is to make private sector employees feel better.

And where does all their pay come from?

So the remaining private sector who are still working have to work more and pay more to keep ALL the g-men employed?

Change my mind.....

I think you would have a lot more agreement if you clarified with "non-essential personnel."

Sounds great. Only problem is Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Missile Systems, Northrop Grumman, and Aurora Flight are all working normal hours and are waiting on me to provide things like structural optimization solutions to airframes that are experiencing coupled nonlinear fluid, thermal, and structural effects on conceptual hypersonic weapon systems.

Do I tell them they get to work for free while they wait on me? Or do they need to reduce their pay by half as well?

I think the essential employees like having someone to do payroll, benefits, etc. they probably want someone ordering them supplies, paying vendors, maintaining their equipment, keeping the computers/networks/phones/radios working..their office/place of work clean...

It wouldn't affect Jon Bel Edwards anyway. He works on commission...

I would hope you want to continue paying first responders and military.

I know quite a few people who work in govt whose jobs pay 25 to 35 grand more in the private sector. It’s not like they are living high on the hog.

See, if you hadn't been so slothful in your 2 hours each day, you would have had those delivered without holding up all the contractors.

Even more than that. I’m a retired state LEA and many of my close peers are working in corporate security or are training privately for well over 6 digits a year.

What I figured. You don't actually have legitimate argument, just an axe to grind.
