It’s not a true castration, but (usually) a yearly injection which lowers testosterone levels to the point that the injected isn’t interested in sex.

A very good move, but there needs to also be more effort to track them when released. Too many are able to move from town to town without mandatorily notifying the proper individuals involved in their case.
