Attempting a citizens arrest is pretty stupid if you can’t do it without shooting someone.
If you are going to try that you better be quicker stronger and smarter than the criminal. Also probably dumb to try it with a gun in this case unless you could pistol whip him.

The critical part for a jury will be when Arbery charged the former cop's son and went for the shotgun. The actual video will be HD and not the crap an iPhone puts out for sending via messages.

Attempted an illegal citizens arrest as they had not witnessed any crime... aside from it being an illegitimate “citizens arrest” there was no current or clear danger to anyone prior to the 2 initiating a violent confrontation.

I had a feeling more would come out and the narrative, just like Ferguson, would be proven wrong.
However, the two wanna be neighborhood patrol had no reason to chase and try to stop him with firearms.
