Well I for one prefer US senators to have an IQ above double digits.

The fact that neither Alabama nor Georgia can seemingly come up with a Republican statewide political candidate unless they are directly related to an SEC football program may be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen
This isn’t happening in a vacuum. I’ll let Georgians speak for themselves, but the quality of candidates that have emerged through the “it’s my turn now” clock-watching mindset in Montgomery hasn’t exactly bolstered Alabamians’ confidence in the ability of the reigning political class on Goat Hill to produce quality candidates.

The obvious advantages of name recognition aside for the people who reside in football crazed states, is there some rule I’m unaware of that states if one was associated with a big-time college football program, they are automatically unqualified to be reasonable, thinking people off the field vs someone who didn’t play football?

He has my support. Cant be worse than the last 100 years of leadership.

Hopefully, Louisiana doesn’t go down that rabbit hole.
Nuss for governor in 2027 or 2031?

We will have Tubbs as the Guvna and AJ as LT, I can deal with that. I live in Florida but Alabama is still home in my heart.

I call it the Kenny Stabler phenomenon: a strong arm, football smarts and a searing will to win often take precedence over those athletes blessed with inborn physical attributes.

AJ seems like a pretty cool dude.
Going to make someone mad.

The only thing they’re really good at is stealing from us.

You are correct, lawyers have proven to be more suitable for political life…

We did have Tommy Casanova as a State Senator.

Well we could elect some democrats who are too stupid to figure out what a woman is. AJ definitely figured that out.
That or continue to re elect career politicians that provide nothing of benefit. I’d rather see a principled and conservative common man get a chance to see what they can do in office.
