Chill a little folks.
It's self powered! Trump said they have to be.
The water is for cooling, it won't be gone.

initially the one in our state will use 8 million gallons and they said they would use 1 million more per year to refill.

So it's going to evaporate from cooling towers as steam.
Back to the environment.

Kinda like the society that uses a food source for car fuel. What will they think of next?

Those who are against AI don’t understand that if we don’t get out ahead of it, we’ll be the only superpower that will be behind on it. It sucks I know. But it’s the reality.

Lots of places to get water there like close enough to the Mississippi PHUCKING River.
Meta is paying Entergy to build excess power capacity. That means lower cost to the grid, no charge for building it passed on.
Everyone complaining using what makes these places needed,
Cry me a river you fagtards

Missouri water, power plants and agriculture at risk under new North Dakota plan, officials say
A project to divert water away from the Missouri River has sparked a new fight in a decades-long conflict over how to manage the river’s water in times of drought.

Back to the environment.
quote:
Key Concerns Regarding Cooling Tower Emissions:Drift (Contaminant Drift): While the vapor is pure, small liquid water droplets known as "drift" can be carried out of the tower by airflow. This drift can contain concentrated dissolved solids, scale inhibitors, biocide treatment chemicals, and heavy metals.
Legionella Bacteria: The warm, moist environment of cooling towers is a known breeding ground for Legionella bacteria. Proper maintenance and chemical treatment are required to prevent the release of these bacteria into the air.
Chemical Treatment Agents: To prevent scaling and corrosion, operators use chemical treatments, including biocides (like bromine (highly toxic)or chlorine dioxide) and inhibitors, which are concentrated in the remaining water and potentially released via drift.
Discharge (Blowdown): Roughly 20–30% of the water used is not evaporated but discharged as "blowdown," which is high in concentrated contaminants and can pose a risk to local water treatment facilities.
