We are just going to have to go back to only believing what is in front of our two eyes. I already question any and all video I see. I'm sure tech will get to the point to where they can deceive the eyes in person that but it is a bit further away.

I do not not disagree that AI will be very involved in the deceptions, but I also suspect it will work with other tech, possibly tech that was and will continue being injected in the name of public health measures. Wireless interface, confusing and controlling minds unawares. Voice to skull, a hive mind, probably already happening.

I don’t think our true downfall comes until we can link AI into our brains ie neuro link and then you really won’t be able to distinguish reality.

Will become powerful…It already has brother. DARPA lost control of its big military AI last year. About the same time ChatGPT began to lie, frick shite up, make things up right?

Not how this works.
Maybe Quantum AI, but we are still unable to get that working fully.
Even then, we are a generation or more of math away from making it really work for more then some specific problems.
For all of history, math ran before Engineering, with Quantum, processing power will run ahead of math.
Some of the most useful math around was developed in the 18th and 19th centuries.
A lot of the newer stuff like Sheaf Theory probably won't have much use in Quantum computing (vs categorizing Quantum systems).
But again, there are so many gaps to the next "Quantum Leap" in AI. We haven't had a real breakthrough in a number of years.
And AI is useless for breakthroughs.
