These guys are murderers... what they did was wrong. They should be convicted.
But I wish the media would stop referring to Arbery as a jogger. The dude is a criminal and was murdered by other criminals

they never tried to run him over with the car. none of the videos show that.
the videos show him running from the house under construction. and then being followed down the road to where the truck was waiting.

Yet half of this board defends them.
Not calling them backwards hillbillies and saying they're 100% guilty means you defend them, apparently.

I have never defended his character.
Can you defend him attempting to grab a loaded rifle?
There's the problem, a 'loaded rifle' (pretending to be a shotgun) should never have been near the man. But it was, and the guys deciding to put it there weren't cops, but they were threatening.
It was their unforced error, decisions that they made, and they're going to prison for it.
Jogger, Theif, Baker, Candlestick Maker - doesn't matter. They were playing cop.

The one guy admitted to it. Only the end of the chase was filmed.

its 100% legal to open carry a long gun in georgia.
its also 100% legal to make a citizens arrest in georgia.
2010 Georgia Code
TITLE 17 - CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
CHAPTER 4 - ARREST OF PERSONS
ARTICLE 4 - ARREST BY PRIVATE PERSONS
§ 17-4-60 - Grounds for arrest
O.C.G.A. 17-4-60 (2010)
17-4-60. Grounds for arrest
"A private person may arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge. If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest him upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion."

quote:I cannot find it right now, but at an evidentiary hearing this summer the state presented a video (Georgia Bureau of Investigation maybe?) that re-created the entire chase with assembled video footage from a number of sources, plus geo-fencing info from the phones, I think.quote:The one guy admitted to it. I seem to recall that it showed the Defendants "cutting him off" at more than one location.

The virtue signaling on that cracks me up. “I’m so non-racist I’m going to use racial slurs to describe 3 white guys because they shot a black guy”. I’m not sure there’s been a single thread on this without “redneck” or “hillbilly” getting tossed around.

Then do so during the commission of a violent crime, not “I think he was up to no good stealing stuff a quarter mile back a half hour ago”

So you think a special agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations lied about it under oath?

Yea, if it's on film, I may believe it. Until then...
I'm not totally buying it.

possibly to help himself with a more lenient sentence. there should be a video of pictures of the dent correct?
Posted on 11/5/21 at 2:27 pm to 511
So the GBI agent was lying about it and the guy that told the police he did it was lying as well? Are you really this fricking stupid?
Posted on 11/5/21 at 2:30 pm to mouton
i answered your question already.
do you think arbery was jogging? yes or no?

Americans have gotten so-accustomed to every fictional case having some damning piece of physical/forensic evidence, that they have unrealistic expectations of actual investigations and are unwilling to believe anything without that sort of evidence.
