I think this is the most baffling thing to me.

At 18:

- You understand the world enough to vote?
- Can fight a war?
- Can drive

But they are not responsible enough to

- Buy beer
- Buy a gun (the new line is they should not be).

It seems the left wants them to be an adult to vote their way.... but not an adult to buy a gun.

You can enlist at 17 with parental consent.

And remember, Creature Feature Pelosi wants to lower the voting age to 16. The Democrats need their voters to be as dumb as f*cking possible.

IMO, once you’re an adult, every “adult right” should be granted at the same time.

Drinking, smoking, army, jury duty, voting, buying a gun, renting a car, renting a hotel, etc.

All should be the same age. If you’re old enough to serve, you’re a fricking adult and should be able to have all of the privileges granted to adults.

Yes you can!

Should we raise the limits to all of those things.

- Parent consent under 21
- no voting until 21
- no purchase of guns without parent

Maybe 25?

I'm not saying I am for it, I'm just talking

As evidenced by the maturity of 18 year-olds nowadays, as a whole, it wouldn't bother me in the least to make the age limit 21 for everything you listed except for the driving part.

On the surface, this makes some sense.

Which is why I started the topic.

Only property owners should be able to vote. That’s not even an age issue.

Some no life loser living in an apartment should not be able to decide who the leader of this country is.

I can not go that far with you Shiner. I know a lot of people who pay a lot of money to rent. They pay on time etc.. They simply do not want to own. They don't want the upkeep.

You can decide what gender you are at age 4; at age 18 you don’t have the mental capacity to understand the ramifications and details of the student loan you signed you just signed.

Kids are not as mature today as they were in the past. A 15 year old signing up for WWII probably had worked his arse off on a farm for the past six years. A 18 year old today has spent most of his time playing video games and making TikToks.

We should increase voting age AND the draft to 21.

I was taught in a psyc class in college the draft age is 18 because at that age your brain still thinks you are invincible … a few years older and the brain develops and more reasoning appears.. thus the draft before 21.. I grew up the legal drinking age was 18…

Always felt if you were able to be drafted and die for your country you should be able to go into a bar and have a drink…

That's a little much for me but someone who doesn't have to file income taxes at the end of the year, I'm good with that.

If we're going to go there, why don't we just limit it to voters making over $100k a year?

Although you may not like the results considering how voters making over $100k a year voted.

LINK

Only people who pay more into the system than they take out should decide who the leader of the country is if we really extend your logic.

Until you begin filing and paying taxes, buying your own health insurance, and working in a career as single adult or head of household, you shouldn’t be able to vote.

If you’re living off the government (welfare), you shouldn’t be able to vote.

Without a doubt. If states can issue tickets for not having a gun safety class card you sure as hell ought to be issued a ticket for not having a DE's card.

You can get married at 12 with parental consent. Personally, I think that's ridiculous. It should be 14.
