After yesterday’s news, and with whatever comes today, no way Biden does the debate right?

You have to think there’s no way his campaign lets him do the debate.
I’d bet it comes out he’s been “exposed” and must do his 14 day quarantine.

Based on his previous campaign strategy he will make a statement that he will not answer any questions about this matter until a full investigation is completed. Next question please. His team is only trying to run out the clock at this point.

I’m assuming they’ll claim he’s in rehab which will address the drugs and partying and some of the pedo stuff (at least they will try). About all they can do is claim the corruption was a byproduct of the drug addiction and double down on Joe not knowing.
Need to focus on the daughter and her husbands dealings too. Put the squeeze on Jill’s child and see what she does.

I’m starting to think that. Even with the mute button, there’s no way Biden can dodge Trump on this all night. No way. And as long as Trump is somewhat measured and controlled in his attack, Joe will either look guilty or stupid.

Did you see Hannity last night? Had a camera camped out Joe’s house. Porch light was on. Couple of cars come and go then the porch light goes off. I found it interesting....

Nope. The mute button is used only for the two minute introductory comment for each candidate. The general discussion after each candidate gets his two minutes is the free-for-all period. If Trump gets muted during that time, I look for him to walk off stage just like he cut Leslie Stahl's interview short yesterday.

They have to have the debate, otherwise it is a bad look. Weak and admission of guilt if he pulls out. Especially with all the rule changes and topic changes that were designed to get DJT to drop out.
The moderator will shield Biden just like Wallace did. The moderator will continue to steer DJT back on topic and reprimand him for not following the debate structure and topics agreed upon.
Trump could make this work in his favor but he could also hurt himself. I think you let Biden talk for his 2 minutes, bring up Ukraine, China, laptop, etc....Joe will just dismiss it. Then when you are asked the next question and allowed 2 min, go back to this subject.
I suspect the moderator will try to cut him off and get him on topic.
