Who do you think has Trump’s ear more on intel, security, and foreign policy…Tulsi or Lindsey?

Answer honestly.

He sort of alluded even to Kushner and Witkof and Hegseth having influence in the decision. I think he regrets the decision but for obvious reasons he can't state that out loud.

Not only is she the DNI and a cabinet level official, but Trump is her Commander in Chief. She still serves to this day. You people are reading this shite entirely wrong.

Lindsey Graham holds more real political power than Tulsi……..like it or not…..Tulsi is a temporary appointee.

This entire question is ridiculous. Lindsey Graham does not have any position within the IC right now while Tulsi runs the whole goddamn show. He has no access to intelligence currently and she has access to all of it.

Like I said, the statement was literally retarded.

Whatever you think about her views she has always seemed pretty principled which is rare in that town these days. I’m sure she hates what has happened and being involved in it. I expect her to step down soon as well.

So much more going on behind the scenes that we have no clue of. Why was she in Fulton County? Yeah, we might not agree on everything but we also fail when we speculate over 1 issue.

The question wasn't about "political power." Tulsi Gabbard is not in a political role. Nor is Graham in an intelligence role.

Graham is in Israel practically every other week. He has Bibi and Trump’s ear. He has more real power in his role as a Senator than Tulsi does and it’s not even close.

It is also disingenouous to think that if she did leave it was for this reason. Washington Exec level admin rarely make the full 4 yrs.

She's career Intel and she is currently at the top of her profession.

I expect her to wind up head of CIA if she doesnt leave for outside opportunities.

I could also see her on the Rubio 28 ticket...

I would recommend that you read Legacy of Ashes.

It’s very enlightening as to who has the ear (access) of the President on intelligence matters and who influences intelligence policy.

Often it is not the DNI. Often it is not the CIA Director. Often it is not the FBI Director.

Can you not read or something? The statement I contended with was the claim that Tulsi Gabbard was a DNI "in name only" and that Graham was the real DNI. I'm not making a comment on his political power. I am saying that that remark is fricking stupid because Graham sits on no Intel committees. He has no position within the Intel community. Does he have connections? Sure, but Tulsi oversees the entire intelligence community. All 18 fricking agencies. To say Graham is the real DNI is fricking retarded.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have Trump's ear. But you best believe that when it comes to matters if intelligence, Tulsi is who Trump calls, not Graham. Because that's her fricking job and Trump isn't a retard.

Does that mean Trump is going to do what Tulsi wants all the time? Of course not. If that were the case she would be the POTUS, not him.

Man, some of you guys are really fricking dense.

Which is why it's immediately apparent that it would be absurd if the political role held more weight with influencing decisions than the intelligence role. If Trump is leaning more on Lindsey than actual intelligence for foreign policy decisions that is a problem of monumental importance.

And that's the point of him asking you the question in the first place. It doesn't take a genius to connect these dots.

And who the frick says that he is? Some random person on the poliboard? Nobody here knows what went into his calculus for making these decisions. And I guess we are just gonna say, "well Lindsey Graham supports it so by God that must be who he is listening to. This is a matter of monumental importance!!"

Jesus frickin Christ.

None of it really matters anyways. Because he was justified launching the attack any way you want to cut it. It could be a matter of him simply saying to himself, "they nearly killed me. I'm going to bomb the frick out of them" and he wouldn't lose his base.

Did you play sports growing up? A team has different opinions, beliefs, and disagreements privately, but a good team/teammate always support(s) each other in front of others even if they disagree with the ultimate direction chosen by the team. It’s teamwork 101 that you don’t publicly dog on your teammates regardless of how you personally feel.

And I would reiterate that he is also her commander in Chief. You will never hear her disparage or question him publicly.

If this is the case, big "IF", then I'll hope that she can and will disagree with the President but still effectively continue to work with him and do a good job for her Country.

If she leaves and defects and hits the podcast circuit like some other people have, it will not be a blessing in disguise. She's one of the few that I'd really rather keep on board.
