Freedom of speech is a protection from government, it has nothing to do with the CONSEQUENCES of your actions in your private life.
Freedom of speech =/= freedom from consequences

Actually, she lost her job. Her job is a prerequisite for her visa. Without the visa she has to leave. So, the government didn’t yank her visa until she lost her job. Last I heard, private companies can do what they want. And apparently her company didn’t like her X post.
Well, if it isn’t the consequences of her own actions.
