What does cisgender mean? The prefix “cis” means “on the same side as.” So while people who are transgender move “across” genders, people who are cisgender remain on the same side of the gender they were initially identified as at birth.

I know what cis means, I’m embarrassed to admit, but I still don’t know what she means by “expiration date”.
As an actress, I’m assuming she’s grumbling about the lack of roles for “old” women, but that old men (specifically white? specifically straight?) still get roles for movies.
That’s my best interpretation of what the hell she’s talking about.
If not, well, I would worry if I were her grandpa. She’s gunning for you gramps!
