The American Civil Liberties Union, representing two men and a group called the National Coalition for Men, challenged the men-only requirement as “one of the last sex-based classifications in federal law.”
“It imposes selective burdens on men, reinforces the notion that women are not full and equal citizens, and perpetuates stereotypes about men’s and women’s capabilities,” the ACLU’s brief told the court.

They’re not stereotypes; they’re facts.
I always feel like a fraud commenting in military threads; the armed forces should make these types of calls.
That said ... I’m ok with women being drafted, provided they serve in positions that don’t require a reduction in or minimization of physical standards.
Women can train for clerical jobs, maintenance, technology, intelligence, medicine, engineering, law, etc.
But combat? That’s still a tough pill for me to swallow; I’d “vote” no.

I prefer draft nobody.
But if Creepy Joe gets us into a war I would love for his supporters to have to give up their comfy lives and go to the front lines.

I read these 2 teaser paragraphs and I still can't wrap around what they're trying to tell me.

Drafting women into the American armed forces is a net negative to both the armed forces and society.
Therefore, I’m not surprised that the ACLU supports this and its negative repercussions for America.

BLM can use the white liberals as body shields. They are honored to die for such a cause.

I struggle with the idea anyone can respect anyone in political office or upper level govt position.

I’m no feminist—at least not in the liberal sense of the word.
But I’d have packed those life boats with 90% children and 10% adults (men and women), with any remaining spots going to the youngest adults.
Zero debate.

Yeah, they probably would have just ended up as sex slaves to the elites.

When the ACLU is defending men’s rights, you know the world is upside down.

Both my mother and father were officers in WWII. There wedding pictures are in uniform. My father was a pilot who became a B26 flight instructor. My mother was an Army nurse.
Military roles need to be based on real world skill sets and capabilities not dumb-arsed ideological notions that are contrary to reality.
