Any normal person sees that and agrees, but these are odd times.

Shouldn't this read . . . a downward revision of 950,000. . .OR . . .a revision of -950,000. . .

NOT . . .a downward revision of up to -950,000

So there should be an increase in openings, which are underwater from this am’s data

Chemical engineering is way down, lots of contracts were cancelled about 6 months ago. Chemical plants had orders for 4th quarter drop pretty bad from previous months.

Farmers will be going bankrupt because no one is buying grain from the US. Argentina and Brazil are laughing all the way to the bank even with low prices.

CPA firm here, same deal.

Same - public accounting. Still been hiring and busy. But there has been less people going into accounting in last several years and work keeps piling up.

Ok OP seems intentionally misleading here.

The top graphic is a revision downward for the 12 months ending March 2025. That means 950,000 jobs revised downward, mostly under Biden admin. I’m guessing this is fixing Biden admin fudged numbers.

Bottom graphic is saying “jobs cut” which is not the overall jobs report. Jobs cut is just jobs cut, doesn’t take into account jobs created. Jobs report is the net difference. Example: jobs cut is 88,000 in August. But if August sees jobs created as 200,000 then jobs report shows a net gain of 112,000 jobs. OP is trying to tie the two together when they are not the same thing

Didn't Trump just fire the person in charge of reporting jobs numbers because he didn't like what they were putting out? Is he gonna fire this person too?

That person was fired because their analysis was wrong most of the time and had to be revised. Sort of like this, only this is much worse.
Of course someone needs to be terminated for such a mistake.

The people who compile the numbers for the government aren’t all politically motivated. The woman that trump fired worked in the department when trump was president from 16-20!

My algorithm on X is littered with stuff like this now. Price of gold shooting up, job numbers being bad, bankruptcy search data sky rocketing.

Can't tell if legit or of just same stuff we have heard for a while.

I know gold tracking the bill run in the stock market is basically unprecedented.

If that loss is due to cutting a bunch of federal employees then it’s a win for everyone.

If it made some material difference in our deficit spending I might be inclined to agree with you. But it doesn't so I'm not convinced we benefit at all.

Thank you. Remember, bad numbers = Biden’s economy, good numbers = Trump’s economy.
