Trump wasn't on trial

you should know this by now, considering he's already faced his Constitutional "judge" in the Senate AND a special prosecutor. both, i might add, went nowhere

i'm still waiting on that Manafort pardon

This is a case involving Trump's closest political mentor since Roy Cohn died, a guy who was convicted by a jury for lying and trying to obstruct a Congressional investigation into Trump himself.

It's all about Trump's ability to insulate himself from the the legal and checks-and-balances ramifications of his campaign and administration's conduct.

Of course it's him intervening to help himself.

so where were you when Obama's DOJ had to bend over backwards to ignore criminal behavior by his Secretary of State?

i'm sure i can go through your posting history and find your outrage then, right?

Well, apparently, the DOJ intervened before Trump tweeted.

Are you going to continue the conspiracy theory at this point?

Did the attorneys lie to their bosses at the DOJ in regards to the sentencing recommendations?
quote:

Sources told The Federalist that Timothy Shea, who was recently appointed to take over as the top federal prosecutor in D.C. earlier this month, was bullied into agreeing to the sentence recommendation by Adam Jed and Aaron Zelinsky, who were originally tapped by Mueller to investigate whether Donald Trump treasonously colluded with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.

A full investigative report released by Mueller last year revealed that the Mueller investigation found zero evidence for any of the claims of collusion between Trump and the Russians. According to a separate report on serial abuses committed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) during its investigation of Trump, the DOJ inspector general found that the government knew long before Mueller was even appointed that there was no evidence of any collusion.

Shea’s acquiescence to the demand by the disgruntled former Mueller operatives raised questions about whether Shea was operationally in control of the D.C. prosecutor’s office, or whether he had effectively outsourced major decisions in high-profile cases to Mueller’s former deputies.

If they’re indicted and convicted then sentence them independent of politics.

This isn’t that hard.

Why in the hell does a case require 4 prosecutors?

Or is that not all of them?

well I hope that is a fake or the idiot prosecutor (they have had lots of issues) signed the wrong name. Says Aaron withdrew but signed his name as Adam.

Adam is correct. I litigated against him in one of his first cases. Kind of crazy when I saw he'd gotten on Mueller's team.

I know CSB, etc.

Did you fail to read that the lawyers set up the max amount of prison time for Stone; against proper regulations and protocols?

Are you ignoring Judge Jackson is a political hack Obama appointee?

Of course you are because you think you have some big legal gotcha and you fail.

What is wrong with this tweet? Stone was raided at dawn by gunpoint with his deaf wife frightened and you think the slimy DC lawyers should use their political animus to go against usual protocols and recommendations; just to fry Trump's friend that would die in jail?

Take your partisan glasses off.

You're right the way the Dems wielded their power in the House to push through a lie based on their rules and "facts" is a perfect example of Autocracy.

Trump isn't a power by pen and a phone type of president like Obama, but he is definitely a strong leader that doesn't take shite from the opposing treasonous left. Good call Doc
