Am curious to see what Judge Jackson does. She's going to have some questions about the about face with 3 resignations.

If there's not a political corrective we end up with an autocrat in charge of justice system from the prosecutors to the courts as in Hungary.

The Feds have a 97% conviction rate. Our judges are partisan prosecutors with robes. A defendant is punished for exercising his constitutional right to a trial. Federal law enforcement prohibits the recording of interviews of witnesses and parties and instead relies on a one-sided subjective memory of said interview. We incarcerate more people per capita than any country in the world and it's not even close. Our "justice" system has been run by autocrats long before Trump took office.

I’m sure she’ll also have questions why the prosecutors lied about the sentencing.

yes.

they make up insanely severe charges.

The DOJ tells them to frick off with these charges

They resign in protest:

The Dems demand Barr resign for interfering in the DC Circuit court.

The Dems demand POTUS get impeached for interfering the prosecution case by tweeting mean things last night.

So this is a principled critique of the justice system from William Barr?

ConspiracyDoc has a brand new conspiracy!

It's too bad the 457 other conspiracy theories he was pushing were complete fairy tales

I thought he was smarter than that...I guess not. SAD!!!

Tigerdoc, aren’t you big on criminal justice reform?

9 years in jail for what he did is extremely harsh.

Justice needs to be proportionate.

This is a critique of our justice system regardless of who's President. A black man in Mississippi can get a fairer trial in state court than your average Defendant in Federal Court. Nobody wants to be in Federal Court unless you're a prosecutor in a criminal case or a defense lawyer in a civil case.

Doj decision to revise the memorandum happened before the trump tweet

You are connecting dots that aren’t meant to be connected

If you believe nyt and wapo sources, the line prosecutors mislead the doj

So: collude with Russians to subvert democratic elections , repeatedly lie to FBI about said collusion, threaten violence against your co-conspirators and fellow witnesses, encourage violence against a federal judge, and rest easy knowing that Trump and Barr will obstruct justice on your behalf?

Barr’s boss tweets at 2 am

By 9 am, “senior DOJ official” is telling the news media they’ve done a 180 degree about face

let’s just call a spade a spade. We can discuss whether it’s appropriate but it’s disingenuous to say the two are not connected

NPR says it’s pokitical interference by Trump himself!

These principled prosecutors are sacrificing their jobs and their safety by refusing to break the law!
