2016-2020: The economy lost 2.9 million jobs. the unemployment rate increased by 1.6 percentage points to 6.3%; the U.S. trade deficit in goods and services in 2020 was the highest since 2008 and increased 40.5% from 2016; the number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million; the federal debt went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion; Illegal immigration increased. Apprehensions at the Southwest border rose 14.7% in 2020 compared with 2016. Coal production declined 26.5%; The murder rate rose to the highest level since 1997; U.S. became a net exporter of petroleum products but remained a net importer of crude oil. Plus, these astounding lies: "We'll build a wall and Mexico will pay for it", "I have a billion dollar infrastructure plan"; "I'll release my taxes soon", "we'll have a healthcare plan in two weeks".

First sentence is a joke. Look at the pre-Covid numbers. They blow Biden’s economy out of the water.

They love to blame Trump for Covid and claim Biden created new jobs as we opened up. They really think we are stupid.

So… Covid. That’s what almost all of these numbers boil down to. The argument for Biden is that Trump was the president when we got hit by Covid. That’s it?

Imagine knowing about the great COVID lie and still thinking these are bad numbers.

Apprehensions at the Southwest border rose 14.7% in 2020 compared with 2016.

What happened to those apprehensions then as opposed to now?

"We'll build a wall and Mexico will pay for it"

Not a lie. His plan was quite clear and would have absolutely worked.

quote:

"I'll release my taxes soon"

His taxes have been illegally released now. What did they tell you?

quote:

"we'll have a healthcare plan in two weeks"

Never heard this one. I thought Obama saved healthcare? Why would Trump need to release a new plan?

Basic bottom line question. How much is your grocery bill now versus then?

I've had some tell me that if Trump had "locked us all down, zero exception. Cannot leave house. Military in streets" that COVID could have been avoided.

These people are insane. We cannot coexist with them.

To what countries should we compare Trump's handling of COVID?

Libs live in a dream world. To actually claim this economy was better than trumps is beyond absurd. The only jobs your hero has created were government jobs. We’ve been in recession for 2 years. Funny that when we got to the goal post on what determines a recession they moved the post.

Trump did almost the best he could do with the available information. The emergence of Covid was something that could not have been controlled. But that doesn’t mean we should ignore that all of that happened during Trump’s administration.

The housing collapse happened with the first of the major bailouts in the November before Obama was sworn in. I haven’t seen any right wingers defend Obama for having inherited ann economy in shambles. Even though the first of the bailouts were approved before Obama was sworn in, right wingers only criticize Obama for the cost of steadying the economy he inherited.

If we just look at snapshots, we don’t get the whole picture.

Trump shut the economy down. He doesn’t get a pass for that.

Government job creation post COVID19 has been over 20%, before COVID19 government job creation was generally 10-15%

No he didn't. Individual governors made their own decisions for their states. The idiots in NY and CA making the wrong decision isn't something that can be pinned on Trump.

Yes you have. You just don't like that Democrats and their "fair housing" policies are the cause of the collapse.
