a non-republicans view of this impeachment

So im not a republican nor a democrat. i hate the very ideas of political parties. Im not very fond of donald trump but that's ok. i think the mob that wreaked havoc in the us capitol was shameful. there are some here who imply it was mostly peaceful folks merely acting like tourists meandering through the capitol. for a few, that might be true. but let's be real, there were people scaling walls, and forcing security people to blockade themselves inside rooms with guns drawn as crazed lunatics tried to break through doors and breaking door glass to enter and cause worse damage. I hope the FBI is successful at their attempt to track these folks down and put them in jail where they belong. And I know most of you loathe me for feeling this way, and thats ok. i still respect you.
HOWEVER. impeaching trump over this is premature. if there was an investigation that linked trump to this, sure, impeachment or whatever other legal means to hold him accountable would be called for. as of now though, what we have is a president who indirectly stoked the anger that led to this mob invasion.
so for what it's worth, i don't think trump should be impeached.

Thank goodness.
I had just texted my wife an hour ago and she and I were both concerned with “gerkin’s” stance on impeachment.
I’m texting her now.

Nope, I agree with you. Law breakers go to jail. But it's absolutely true that most people were there to peacefully protest.

You sound like a communist that can't spell.

It's the 13th. Were you hoping for the 19th?

I understand your concern. what's great is that you've been a member here since 2011, and don't have a ton of posts which makes this request a bit easier, so would you mind scrolling back through them to this past summer when you happened to express the same level of anger and frustration as cities burned night after night for months and hordes of armed rioters and looters marauded through American cities? I'm sure you made a few posts concerning this, and would love to compare them to this post.
Thanks.

While laughing at your baby comment, I happened to glance at your stats...hahahaha. You've been here for essentially 2 months and have over 3,000 posts! That's SFP levels of posting from back in the day, my friend!

Or possibly...
A corrupted voting system and main stream media who indirectly stoked the anger that led to this mob invasion.

There were over a million people there
One tenth of one percent of them actually got hostile with police and caused vandalism and violence. And many of the people the eff bee eye is looking for who did take it too far, have already been linked to extremist groups and anqueefa.
How many news outlets showed the peaceful people gathered by the tens of thousands singing Christian songs and hymns?
Zero.
This premise is flawed. If there actually were to ever be an armed insurgency by conservative America, it would be biblical. This was the very definition of a very peaceful protest with a few bad apples.
Rewind to last summer in Kenosha, Seattle, Portland Minneapolis, Atlanta, St. Louis, etc. to see the stuff that Americans should have been upset about. But the media and liberal politicians assured everyone that those particular events were perfectly fine.

I think OP has a valid point...
I've not witnessed or read anything that shows Trump called for what happened.
He made a speech that said basically, "I don't agree with the election results, and am still contesting that even now. I am not giving up yet, and my supporters should not think so either. "
THAT is NOT a call to arms, nor an appeal to violence or insurrection. Inauguration Day is a week from now, there is still "time for further investigations" just from an objective standpoint. It simply means he hasn't conceded yet.
It might be more pleasant for all involved that he concedes today (or back in November), but he hasn't broken any laws.

I hope the FBI finds the guy that destroyed the Target cash register with a hammer. Those that started fires in Kenosha and Portland too.
But are they trying to do that? Or instead did protesters have a fund started by Kamala Harris to help bail them out?
