The odds of getting in your car, driving an hour away to an unfamiliar location and simply crawling on top of a roof less than 200 yards away to fire at Trump are astronomical. It’s even more unbelievable that the crowd spotted him immediately and were frantically yelling at law enforcement for three minutes and no one shot him before hand. As soon as police were alerted they should have been converging on him at lightning speed. The agents onstage should have preemptively pulled Trump offstage.. there is no logical explanation for their behavior

I can guarantee you that open carrying a rifle anywhere within a thousand yards of a Secret Service protected person will get you stopped and disarmed. As it should be.

Well you can absolutely correct me if I’m wrong…..but I don’t think the SS disarmed him yesterday.

But like I said….i could be wronf

Exactly what I’ve been trying to find out.

Why weren’t the officers on the perimeter communicating with the Trump on stage agents? He should have been protected before the guy got in position to shoot.

Oh FFSake a guy walking around with a rifle, a frigging rifle, getting ready to hunt next to a crowd of 25,000 people is in violation of SEVERAL laws. And yes it would draw a lot of attention.

Could have easily climbed up on the crate to the lower right of the picture in OP, up to next storage closet and onto the overhang, then walked right to position.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what The second amendment is about.

bullshite it wouldn’t. Further the SS should have disarmed anyone in the area temporarily.

George W Bush was in Des Moines on trip and someone I know was now hunting in a DSM park (under a special permit). Dudes in his tree stand when all the sudden USSS guys are jogging through the area ahead of POTUS.

The dude calmly and quietly gets an agents attention from his tree stand and drops down to ground level and hands over his bow while potus cruises by on his bike. He said it was the craziest thing he’s been part of.

Do we know if that guy worked in or otherwise had usual access to that building? Kind of like Lee Harvey Oswald and the Texas book depository.

I understand your point but this is a bad argument in this case.

I can’t tell you that I used to work on the veterans Hwy side of MSY. When Air Force One would come to land or take off, Kenner cops were stationed on ALL of the side streets that dead end to the airport.

Point is there is or should always be security around the area. Not just IN the area the protectee is going.

Guys open carry at protests all the time. It’s not in and of itself illegal in PA.

There was a former secret service agent on fox that said the SS and local LE radios are not on the same frequencies so they don’t hear each other’s conversations. The local Pd would have had to call the SS.
Makes no sense to me why the SS wouldn’t give a couple of their radios to the locals and vice versa.
I don’t get it??

This photo confuses me even more because in everything else it appears as though the shooter is on the other side (non parking lot) of the roof

To be visible here

And the Eric Price Tweet shows the other side as well

This is what happens when you let dei into the secret service.

Its a sad state of affairs that the left is so politically corrupt and violent that candidates on the right now have to get private security

More and more I'm thinking this guy played a key role in this for sure. If nothing else he brought attention to that location from at least one or 2 security folks. How many more shots would he have gotten off if nobody was looking that direction?
